Transy just got a steal. Look for Gilbert to get a lot of playing time as a freshman

Elliot County or Rowan County will fight it out for trip to Rupp. Ashland will be a distant third with rebounding and the absence of Skaggs limiting their upside. I'm already counting Boyd County and Russell out lol.

So what other big men are you going to put on the floor? Seen both of them play alot this year and would have to say they are the favorites of the big men on this team

No this is not how the process goes. After being very close to the situation for the last few years I am well aware of how everything works including the Prep school.

Nope, its a athletic scholarship. He is not committed to anything until after he starts his junior year at the Academy. He will attend the Air Force Academy Prep School for the first year and then go into the actual Academy after that. You are not committed to any service until you attend classes on the first day of your Junior year. It has nothing to do with signing up for service like you would in a normal setting.

Colt Barnhill will be playing for the Air Force Academy on a full athletic scholarship.

DSAS beat Clay County 92-42 Royal Family beat Team Kentucky 88-83 Shining Stars beat Ky Blazer by 20 Should be some good basketball on Sunday

Shining Stars 133- BA Hoyas 130 Triple Overtime!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow Both teams went toe to toe game of survival

DSAS 89- Ky Takeover 73 Looks like DSAS had a litte rust after being off for two weeks. Chane Behanon is playing with KY Blazers making them an interesting team to watch.

My guess is s3 Davis will show up with the most new players

Heard from a good source that Josh Sewell would probably be on the roster anyways

Does anyone know if there were any highlites or video from this game

One name Timmy Knipp

Barnhill probably had the worst offensive showing of the season on the biggest stage of the year. If your judging him on one game, then you dont know how good this youngster is. Im sure you will be seeing him more this year in some allstar games

I dont know how you can say the big guys were even, Barnhill from East was double and triple teamed all night and still scored 17 points.

I dont think you could say a off night for all of East Carters guard play. Besides Caleb Adams there hasnt been any consistent play the whole year by the Raider guards.

Where did anybody say anything about Barnhill? I think that there were a couple of Elliott fans debating Knipp's shot selection and that was it. Please don't drag Colt's name into this when it had nothing to do in regards to him or East Carter.

I was in attendance, Landon McDavid grabbed the board passed it to Kyle Bair and he hit a 75 footer to end the half

Kyle Bair hit the half court shot, I was in attendance

Congrats to the Lions on a win outside the 16th

16th Region officials are a joke, Basketball is a contact support that involves blocking someones shot and playing physical defense in the post. The Raiders Barnhill might as well paint a bullsize on the front and back side of his jersey cause every ref besides a select few is out to get him. Caleb Adams heck of game once again

According to the radio, many of timmy knipps forced shots was due to the fact Barnhill was in his shorts the entire game. Regardless, these two young men showed why they are the two best players in the 16th Region

Sounded like a great game in Sandy Hook, Barnhill and Knipp showed why there the two best players in the region. Knipp with 32 points and 13 boards, Barnhill with 30 points and 9 boards.

East Carter with a big win in the 62nd district with a 74-73 win over the Elliott County Lions

23 seconds to go in the game East has it oubounds and is up 72-70. Timmy Knipp has fouled out of the ballgame with 31 pts
