As much as I'd like to see NCC win, I don't see how the hang with PLD. Dunbar has gone through what I think are the other two best teams in the tourney, BG and Mercer. NCC will not be as difficult an opponent. Dunbar by 17.

Impressive win by the Camels. I thought they did an excellent job forcing Trimble to shoot from the outside in the second half.

Only 2 - NCC and Mason County. I'll bet I will have seen more teams that end up in the NCAA sweet 16 than the HS Sweet 16!!!!

Great game. I agree 100%. Weyer was the man but Hall was the difference maker.

I haven't see Paris play. So I am hoping they win the 10th so I can watch them at Rupp. They sound like they are a fun team to watch.

I don't see NCC beating CovCath. I think CovCath is just too good. I don't expect that NCC will hit 10 threes again, but I think this is what they would need to have a chance. Otherwise, CCH by 10 to 12.

Is the game on radio anywhere?

Don't know that I agree. Cooper seemed pretty evenly matched with NCC in the second half. They couldn't buy a basket in the first half. NCC's D was good, but they were just flat missing shots. It happens.

Everything tells me NCC should win this.....but my spidey-senses (AKA "Ray-Dar") are pointing towards Cooper. Ray-Dar was pointing to Mason County the other night when I was thinking Campbell County, proving once again Ray-Dar is seldom wrong. Ray-Dar assisted prediction: Cooper wins.

Looking forward to a great game. Love watching HC play, and hoping they pull out a victory so I can see them again!!

That explains it. I didn't realize they were so depleted. Injuries or other factors??

First time seeing Newport, I was expecting them to be better. CovCath has improved considerably since the beginning of the year. Large improvements even since mid-season. They are extremely impressive. Look forward to watching them at Rupp. That said, I do think their is a slight chance Holy Cross or NewCath could knock them off. This would take CovCath being a little off and HC/NCC playing their best games of the year.

Great group of kids that are deserving of a better ending. It's been fun being a part of their run!!

The Fieldhouse is a great place for the regional tournament - best in the region for a host of reasons. Old, but classic, nostalgic, and historically old. I hate the drive to Montgomery County, and will likely miss the tourney this year. The drive is part of the reason. I would likely have gone to the semi's and finals at Mason as it is only 45 minutes from home. That said, I think Montgomery is a neat venue, and should be able to host the tournament if they wish. I would also love to see the 10th at the BB&T. It's not a high school gym, but I think playing here is great for the kids. And for me!!! I live close!!

My comment had nothing to do with whether they were worthy or not. Just stating facts

I love high school basketball and attend a fair amount of games. Rarely am I at a game where a shot clock is needed because of stall ball. The vast majority of games are exciting without one. Although I think it's a longshot to happen for a variety of reasons, my personal preference would be for a 45 second shot clock. This gives the offense plenty of time to operate without rushing. It also rewards good defense more immediately. College had it right with the longer shot clock. It seems a little rushed to me with the shorter clock.

It would be interesting to compair their average game scores to the states without shot clocks.

I respectfully disagree. Mature adults cheer their team, and hoot and holler during the game. Students and immature/childish adults do so while the opposing team shoots free-throws. The mature adults I know show better sportsmanship.
