M'boro goes for it on 4th & 1 from their own 37, bad snap and P'burg takes over on a short field and scores. The tone for the game is set right there. M'boro could not move the ball in the 1st half. They IMO, should've ran the ball instead of the passing game. M'boro never ran their strength (veer off.) until they trailed 20-0. Great job by the Blackcat "D", always pressured Roark in the pocket and made him throw off his back foot alot. A bunch of false starts hurt the Jackets off. as well. The P'burg took adv. of M'boro not being able to cover the TE, one TD came on a wide open pass to Gearheart for 63 yds. One to Jamerson set up Craynon's TD and they gave up a couple of big first downs on passes to the TE. The Blackcats will have their hands full at Corbin but it should be a great game.

Thanks onei, I'd like to know the % of teams that think they get a fair called game when they play AT Bell Co. Dudley and crew have been known to get their fair share of timely calls or no calls on Log Mt. That game brings back some good memories personally oneijoe , but I'm sorry that SE is still hung up on the loss over ONE call. I look forward to fridays game, it should be a good one.

The first annual volleyball tourney hosted by Prestonsburg High School and sponsored by Food City was a huge success. 16 teams ( 4 pools of 4), no entry fee and played at 4 locations in P'burg The GOLD bracket ( for winners & runner-ups from pool play) champ was South Laurel.......they def. Allen Central in the championship match. The SILVER bracket ( for 3rd & 4th place from pool play) was won by Magoffin Co. as they def. Pike Co. Central in that match. Central Allen Central...................Paintsville Betsy Layne....................Magoffin Co. Letcher Co. Central...........Ashland Middlesboro.....................Pike Co. The best 1st rd. game should be AC / Paintsville with the winner being a big favorite in the semi's. In the top bracket SV and Pikeville should win pretty easy in rd. 1 then meet in the semi's. Paintsville & SV will have to adjust to losing key players to injury over the holiday period.

Shelby Valley is for real IMO, I would think this is maybe the year that SV (provided they win the 15th,which they are favored) and Elliott Co. win in the 1st rd. at Rupp.

Attendance was down a little, the 4:30 game has always been a tough attendance game. The crowd was actually pretty good on night 1. What adm. went to the benches? I did not see any but maybe I was busy doing tourney work.

P'burg by a bunch......The Blackcats can run the ball all night w/ Craynon and Setser & more. This will be a good game for Burchett(QB) to get his 1st playoff start,get him settled in for bigger battles down the road. The P'burg "D" led by Stephens,Blevins,Gearheart and more should control the Cougers as they did in the regular season match-up.
