Looking for some information about the Whitesburg area. We're coming down for the tournament and have never been in the area before. Got a map that doesn't show where the school is located.

Where will you be coming from?

Mountain Parkway to Campton. 15 South to Hazard. Continue 15 South to Whitesburg. Take 15 Bypass through two lights. Take left on third light. School is on the hill across from Wal Mart.

The school is actually on the right. Take a right at the light. You will see the school and the big football scoreboard.

I agree.

Even though Whitesburg is about as deep into the mountains of SE Kentucky as one can get, you will have good roads the entire trip. I-75 to I-64, then the Mountain Parkway to Campton, where you will get on 15 south through Jackson, Hazard, and then Whitesburg. Enjoy the mountains,:thumb: you will observe beautiful scenery imo.

Actually it is the right on the 4th light. 2.5 miles from the first light at Wendy's>

Downtown is the Courthouse Cafe. Janie's at the foot of the school hill light is the best burger in town. Starlight Cafe on the river has the big screen TV. It is across from Long John Silver's and the Super 8 hotel.

Hazard isn't that far away, there is plenty of places to eat and things for a team to do. About 30 minute drive. Not that bad.

Letcher Co. Central (3 - 5)

Bellevue (4 - 1)

 

Those are the 4 teams that I know of, and it's suppose to be a round robin format.

Doesn't sound like a very strong tournament?
