  1. The Blackcats get back on their home floor and take on the Runnin Rebs who are coming off a loss to Betsy Layne, but are playing well of late. Any thoughts or predictions?
  2. I've been told it holds 7500 for hoops........The complete 15th tourney will be at the expo center. It has been 3 yrs. since they played the first round at the dist. winners.
  3. Nets Interpretation is the key word....Notice I didn't say they were bad calls, they are just called different in the 15th. I knew going in that Morgan's coaches wanted that call made during the Pike Co. tourney(in all their games there, not just the P'burg game) so I'm sure they may have planted that in the ref's ear. P'burg would've done the same thing. While I know neither team played it's best, maybe it will help both get ready for tourney time.
  4. Congrats to Morgan Co. on the win. The Blackcats played well for about a quarter and half then they let Morgan Co. control the tempo of the game from then on. Despite having a good week of practice, the long layoff of not playing seemed to hurt the Cats in this one. The Cats won't have any long layoffs from here out as the rest of Feb. is pretty hectic schedule wise. The physical play favored the Cougars and P'burg didn't respond to it as well as they had during their winning streak. Morgan Co. shot 26 ft's and P'burg shot 9. P'burg did force some turnovers but had some costly ones of their own.The 16th region has a different interpretation of a carry call than other regions and that hurt P'burg a couple times in transition. McCowan had a very good game for Morgan Co. as he had a double/double,he had not hurt P'burg much in their 1st meeting but got more touches in this one. Peyton, who hurt the Cats the first time around was defended better, but it freed up McCowan more. Morgan Co. as usual will be a tough draw in the 16th,good luck the rest of the way. It was good to get Stephens back on track scoring wise as he and Barnette both got dbl. digits. Leslie did not have a great game but the way he's played all year (great) he was bound to eventually have an off night. The Blackcats will get back to work and get ready for their big dist. games coming up.
  5. frenzy, I've been told it will be at the Expo Center for sure........I would think the draw would be held there since usually the host has the draw. I also think the girls will play there as well and should make it a week long event,March 6th thru the 11th. I will double check that and give you a shout. I've been told that it was going to be Pike Co. Central's year to host it so if there is a offical host they may be it. I will try get all the info I can and pass it along.......
  6. His uncle is very PROUD...........Way to go Zach, I will have to become a Tiger fan now. Georgetown is getting a quality young man :thumb: and probably a new booster president... I know my sis is beaming right now,as she should be. :ylsuper:
  7. Great win for the Blackcats......Leslie and Barnette continue to show why they may be the best inside combo in the region.
  8. P'burg hosts the Golden Eagles and the way both teams have been playing it should be a great game. Any thoughts on this one?
  9. Leslie is a Sr....... He and Barnette have been tough to handle inside all year. Sean also will step out and knock down a 3 when needed. I agree when Wolfe blends in Stamper & Crowe with Gilbert they will be a tough draw in the 14th.
  10. Best wishes to coach Letton.............. :thumb:
  11. I think it should stay in Knott Co., where it was started.....IMO, its not even the same when it goes to Perry Central.... Leave it in Hindman. I could not make it over for any games Pat Man but the gym looked nice on WYMT,nice face lift. :thumb:
  12. I think McGuire is probably going to be a game time decision for coach Crisp.
  13. The Blackcats host the Raiders in a big 58th district game. Any opinions on this one?
  14. Prestonsburg finally plays a home game and holds off the Cardinals for the win. Barnette led P'burg w/24pts. Leslie had 17pts. and 6 blocks. Lomelli(?)led SC w/27 May had 10.
  15. Coach Perry from what I could tell was calling for a carry on Belfry's guards most of the night, until the T was given.
  16. Nice win for Scott......The way Frankfort played in the semi's (vs. Hopkins Co. Ct.) I thought they would make a better game of it.
  17. 4A- St Xavier 3A- Bowling Green 2A- Owensboro Catholic 1A- Newport Central Catholic TB - 58 pts
  18. SEBell, I thought Bardstown - Mayfield was the 5pt game ........I know it won't help my score.
