Back to Back last second shots. Congrats to Scott. Good luck to Coach Carr and his Scott Eagles next week. Also, good luck to the Camels in the upcoming regional tourny. Maybe the Camels players should not have been so happy to see Scott win Wednesday night.

If Rieger and Stortz can stay out of foul trouble BBHS should win by 5. However, if both get into foul trouble like the last game Scott win be on their way to the region.

That seems fair, lets punish all schools for something that only relates to a few schools. To ban all private schools would cause more harm than good. I can think of quite a few 9th and 10th region private schools that do the right thing and the All "A" will most likely be their only chance at ever claming a state championship in basketball. I am sure there are other regions that have private schools doing the right thing. (I just am not familiar with the other regions) If the All "A" committee has a problem with certain schools that may walk a fine line when it come to the rules then let them take it up with the school. If they do not have any problem with them then I do not see why the rest of us should. The last time I checked it is their tournament to run. If you don't like it then do like they did and start your own tourny. Maybe you could call it the "Small Public School Tourny" and in 20 years you might have something as successful as the "All A Classic"

Did the All "A" organizers already announce the 125 teams for next year? If so, where is this list at. Do they go up the list if one of the lower team elect not to play in the All "A"?

Campbell County is playing good defense and their offense is on target. Look for CC to post a double digit win.

Thanks for the link. I opened the 06-07 and 05-06 Avg Enrollment report. Which one of these columns of number would the All A use to determine the 125 schools that would qualify?s I see some schools has a "2" multiplier. I would guess these are the all Boys and all Girls school.

Congrats to the Camels on the win. Coach Code seems to have the team playing some good ball. Just keep improving each game and hopefully you can pull out the big one down the road.

Newport Catholic was just too strong for the Mustangs. Very physical game and the Breds proved to be the best team on the floor. Good team performance for NC. Geisler may have put up 20 on the board but many of them were off of dishes from guard. New offense seems to be working

I do not understand this comment. I picked NC but I can understand why someone would pick Brossart. They did just beat LCC and played a very talented UHA a good game. What has NC done lately? BTW - I only picked NC because I am like 1-20 in picking winners. Go Mustangs.

Harrison is a much better team with Talbot on the floor. However, Campbell playing better ball at this time. Camels win by 6 (68-62)

I have not seen them play but a couple of times early in the year. Weak inside, guard play is weaker. They are too slow to press. Most times they just stand around on defense. On offense they like to shoot the tray. Maybe, they are becoming a better overall team or just that the 10th regional is not that strong in "A" schools.

LCA has the strength of schedule in its favor. But, Brossart is playing outstanding basketball the last three games. I look for a close game with LCA pulling it out in the end. However, as I stated early when I picked St. Pat in the All A game my record stinks on picking winner.

I guess the recent Lexington Catholic and Mason County game seen live on TV wasn't a sanctioned game by the KHSAA either. Does it state somewhere in the KHSAA rules that a high school basketball game can not be shown live on TV? I have never heard or seen that, but I am not a KHSAA expert. If it does, how did the above mentioned game get on TV. I hope the games are broadcast on WYMT so those who get that station will have the opportunity to watch some quality boys high school basketball games.

Congrats to the Stangs. Great game by the whole team. Four players in double figures and what I am sure was a double-double game for senior center Greg Stortz. Last game I think St Pats out rebounded the Mustangs by about 20 boards. I do not think this was the case in this game. It seemed that the Mustangs held their own on the boards. Enjoy the win - but remember there is one more game to play. Come out in play like you did in this game and things should take care of themself. NO LET DOWN!!

St. Patrick is too strong and quick for Brossart. I look for the Saints to take the 10th Region All "A" title this year. However, my winning percentage of picking games might come back to haunt the Saints.

Thanks for the info. When do they determine and notify the smallest 125 schools? If one of those schools elect not to participate do they keep going until they have 125 schools in the tourny or do they just notify the smallest 125 and however many of those school participate determine the number in the field. Can anyone provide a link to where the numbers are pulled from?

I guess I look at things a little different than you. Just how good was a team that finishes 10-10. Campbell County is currently 11-5. I guess if they go on and lose the next 10 games (Will not happen) and finish 11-15 they would be considered a quality win because you beat them when they were 11-5. But since this is a Holmes - Campbell County game thread and not a thread on what make a team a quality win I will stick with my prediction of Holmes by 20 and leave the other discussion for another thread.

What does it matter what the record was when they played them? Of course some team were above 500 at the time. Hard to be under 500 in your first and second game of the year. Until the Camels prove they can defeat a quality opponent they will struggle with this game and their upcoming schedule.

Campbell County has yet to beat a team with a with a winning record. According to KHSAA the record of the teams the Camels have beat as of 1/20/08 is 57-123. Holmes comes into the game with a record of 16-1 with its only loss to Male. Holmes should win this game by 20.
