I have heard from Metcalfe County's radio folks that they will broadcast the Gallatin/Metcalfe game.

 

Mustang will have Bishop Brossart's games as well.

 

Is anyone else planning on broadcasting the tournament???

I was wondering the same thing. I would love to have the option to listen to the games if at all possible.

There is a radio station around here that does the University Heights games... Will try to find out which one.

Brossart vs Lexington Christian - Scheduled Game Time 1:30pm,but will probably start later. If so, we will pick up the end of the St. Henry-UHA game.

There is a possibility that we could also do the St. Herny/UHA game in its entirety if I can work it out. Will post later if that happens.

I'd say there will be a radio station there from Hazard doing the Hazard boys and Leslie co. girls games.

If I'm not mistaken there's a radio station in Richmond that carries them all. I listened last year on the net. Can't recall the link, perhaps someone in the Richmond area may have more info.

According to the All "A" homepage, not only is WYMT the official flagship station of the games, but they are going to be telecast live?? Here is the statement on the page.

 

"WYMT Official Flagship Station for the All "A" Classic

Watch the championship games live on WYMT!"

 

Sooo...does this mean that if you get WYMT that you can watch the games live on TV? Is that even legal? I guess it is because these games aren't sanctioned by the KHSAA.

 

Anyone with any further thoughts/info on this?

I guess the recent Lexington Catholic and Mason County game seen live on TV wasn't a sanctioned game by the KHSAA either.

 

Does it state somewhere in the KHSAA rules that a high school basketball game can not be shown live on TV? I have never heard or seen that, but I am not a KHSAA expert. If it does, how did the above mentioned game get on TV.

 

I hope the games are broadcast on WYMT so those who get that station will have the opportunity to watch some quality boys high school basketball games.

I'm sure that as in the past, WYMT will televise the Girls and Boys Finals on Sunday, February 3rd.

 

All of the games last year were broadcast on the "Kentucky Network" and over the internet with links on the IBN-IHigh broadcast page. I do not know if that is the case again this year or not. Philip Hay, who is no longer with WFTM-Maysville, was one of the comentators and also the radio man from Montgomery County.
