Code may have this team ready to peak at just the right time...

Looks like it. If they win the district, I wouldn't want to be the district runner-up that had to face them in round 1 of the region.

This one was really over about midway through the second. It was 41-16 at one time and the Camels mostly just passed the ball around the last quarter. Next up is Dixie for the Camels. They are playing well right now. I think there were 4 Camels in double figures . Petey Albreicht had 17 and led the way despite fouling out with about 5 minutes left in the game.

They have to be considered one of the "2nd tier" teams with an outside chance. If you look on KHSAA Scoreboard, their losses are all to high quality teams. They've played a good enough schedule to be prepared.

I agree mcpapa - when that bracket comes out and Mason, Campbell, and GRC are all on one side - that will be tough to come out of:D

Especially if you're Campbell or GRC.:D

As I'm sure you will agree, no one in the 10th wants Mason on their side of the bracket.

Campbell actually played Mason County fairly well a few weeks back; as is the case with most teams in the 10th, Mason presents matchup problems. Montgomery County looks to be the only squad that can compete from a size/physicality standpoint, but as you said, Campbell is in that next tier and may be the region's 3rd or 4th best right now.

How did Talbott play for Harrison County in this one?

He started out very hot, scored 6 of their first 9, but then Andy Franzen came in and really played him tough. He only ended up with 7 and didn't want any more of Mr. Franzen's D.

Thanks! I was guessing that with a total of 50, Harrison may not have had anyone with a breakout game offensively.

I believe that Mason County is the only team to score 80 on the Camels this season, and I think Montgomery is the only team besides Mason to hit the 70-point mark.

Looks like the Camels have righted the ship after that little skid; but in their defense, that skid came against Tates Creek, Holmes, Boone and CovCath.

Camels had four guys in double figures. In addition to Petey's 18, Nerl had 17, Ben Franzen 10 and Brady Jolly 10. Leading scorer for the Breds was John Michael Reitz with 14, with 10 of those coming at the foul line.

Good win for the Camels....really thought this would be a closer game. I have to give John Michael Reitz credit...he is playing out of position but still played a good game. I thought that last night he was the best player on the floor for the Thorobreds. He knew many of the players for the Camels on the floor last night and I thought he played extremely well. He was fouled hard by Matt Coffman in this game and Matt reached down and helped him up as to say sorry man but I had to do it. I am happy for Mike to be able to coach his son and spend the time with him he is....but we miss his personality here at CCHS. Good luck to the Thorobreds the rest of the season, of course unless we meet again in the Regionals! :)

GO CAMELS!
