  1. When are they supposed to announce who made the team? Purple who were some of the other standouts at the tryout?
  2. Manual's Dwayne "Waynie" Sutton is now a member of the Kentucky Travelers. Hope this helps him get the exposure he deserves.
  3. 1 Hopkinsville 1 Trinity 1 Scott County 1 Campbell County 1 Wayne County 1 Knott County Central 1 Pleasure Ridge Park 1 Covington Catholic 2 Trinity 2 Scott County 2 Knott County Central 2 Covington Catholic 3 Scott County 3 Covington Catholic 5 Scott County TB: 123
  4. On Trinity's website they list 6 assistant coaches, 1 strength coach, and Coach Szabo. What happened to the two African American gentlemen that were on Trinity's staff last year?
  5. Trey Boyd led the way for the Crimson with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Waynie Sutton added 10 points and 11 rebounds. Jarrett Harness finished with 13 points and 4 steals. Cameron Reed had 12 points for Eastern on four 3 pointers. Austin Howard added 11 points, Trey Moses and Tyler Cambron had 10 each.

  7. Waynie Sutton goes for 26 points and 17 rebounds. He had 2 points at halftime and just took over the game in the 3rd quarter scoring 19 of his points.Trey Boyd chipped in 19 points tonight. Excellent win for the Crimsons. I will say it again, Sutton is definitely in the conversation of top juniors in the state.
  8. I noticed coach Davenport from Bellarmine in the stands to watch Sutton last night. Waynie was obviously impressive. Both teams put on a shooting display Manual hit 13 of 30 threes (Sutton 5-8, Chris West 4-9, Jarrett Harness 3-8, and Jake Chilton 1-2), while J-town hit 15 of 36(Daniel Williams 8-15, Brandon Johnson 6-14, and Brandon Marshall 1-6) Marshall attacked the rim and hit 8 of 10 two's and 13 of 17 fts. Sutton also had 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Really fun game to watch. J-town runs some really good sets to get Williams and Johnson looks from three.
  9. Cameron Reed is a nice Junior guard for the Eagles, good perimeter shooter. Also have 3 freshman dressing varsity, Sugar Wyche who will start at point next year, Caleb Williams and Jonathan Lane are both about 6-4 and will play alot next year. They get contributions from 1 sophomore number 21. His name escapes me at this time. Moses has had a decent year but is not very athletic.
  10. Still no mention of Waynie Sutton of Manual. It's unbelievable that a kid can average 22 pts and 13 rebounds in the 7th region and not be considered one of the better players in his class.
  11. I believe I said I don't know if he is top 10, but is in the discussion. Dwayne has been one of the most consistent players in the state this year. He is only a junior. He averaged 11pts and 8 reb. as a sophomore, which means he has doubled his scoring and improved his rebounding by 5 boards a game. Pretty impressive if you ask me. Definitely an all-state candidate.
  12. Dwayne Sutton from Manual is averaging 22 points and 13 rebounds this season. Don't know if he is top 10 but definitely is in the discussion. He has 14 double-doubles in 16 games. Should have made the LIT all tournament team. He scored 32 points and recorded 13 rebounds in the Crimsons one point loss to Iroquois.
  13. All Tournament team: Lamontray Harris, PRP. (MVP) Antonio McDaniels PRP D'Angelo Hunter, PRP Quentin Snider, Ballard Kelan Martin, Ballard Demetrius Stanton, Fern Creek Raymond Spalding, Trinity Rhett Troutmam Bullitt East Montrell Little, Doss Devon Johnson, Iroquois Devon Cooper, Waggener Cory Thomas, Fairdale Robert Shaw, St. Xavier All good choices but I believe Manual's Dwayne Sutton deserved to be on this team. He had 32 points and 13 rebounds in their OT loss to Iroquois.
  14. Actually, Devon Johnson made the winning layup after Dwayne Sutton hit 2 free throws to put Manual up one with 6 seconds left. Johnson drove the length of the floor and hit an acrobatic over his head layup with his right hand on the left side of the basket. Exciting game to watch Iroquois built up a 15 point lead in the second quarter only to has Manual cut the lead to 4 at the half. The score was all tied at the end of the 3rd quarter 52-52. Manual built up a 5 or 6 point lead with a little over 2 minutes to go, Boyd went 1 for 2 from the line for Manual, Martin missed a three for Iroquois Sutton drew a foul went 1-2 from the line. Johnson came down for Iroquois and hit a 21 foot contested 3. Boyd scored for Manual with a minute left and was fouled, He missed the freethrow, Derio Little the banked in a 3 from 22 ft. Maual turned the ball over with about 20 seconds to go. Jalen Martin drove scored and was fouled. He made the free throw to put Iroquois up 1 with 20 seconds left. Sutton missed in the lane got his own rebound and was fouled. with 6 seconds left. Made both for a 1 point Manual lead. Johnson recieved the endbounds pass and went the length of the court and scored at buzzer.
  15. Should be some good games today 4:00 pm Western (2-1) vs. Fern Creek(6-0) 5:45 Iroquois (3-1) vs. Manual (3-1) 7:30 Boyd County (2-3) vs. Shelby County (0-4) 9:15 Oldham County(6-0) vs. Owensboro (2-2) Western has been a pleasant surprise with a early season win over the Male Bulldogs. Westerns top players are Kittrell Withers and Chris McCraw Fern Creek also claims a win over Male and are led by new coach James Schooler former assistant from Ballard. Their top player is Joe Jackson. Iroquois is 3-1 with one of the top players in the 6th region in Devon Johnson, While Manual is fresh off a victory over the Butler Bears Tuesday night. The Crimsons are led by Dwayne Sutton. Sutton is averaging 20 points and 15 rebounds after 4 games. I don't know much about Boyd or Shelby County. Oldham Co. has quality wins against Harrison Co, Desales, and Pikeville. they are led by Senior Austin Wills. Owensboro has notched wins over Owensboro Catholic and Christian Academy. They also tied PRP in a scrimmage at PRP earlier. They have an outstanding player in Aric Holman.

  17. Yeah, through 4 games Sutton is averaging 20.5 points and 15 rebounds.
  18. Manual 77 Butler 68 Final Dwayne Sutton 24 points 13 rebounds, Trey Boyd 21 pts, 7 rebounds for Manual. Jeremiah Bell and William Johnson had 19 and 21 points respectively for Butler. Manual takes on a very good Iroquois team Thursday at Oldham Co. in the BEST IN HOOP Tournament.
  19. Manual 72 Seneca 36. Final Dwayne Sutton leads way with 20 points 14 rebounds. Crimson jump out to 24 -4 first quarter lead, coast from there.
  20. Bardstown-Manual game should also be a good game tomorrow night @ Bardstown. Manual is better than alot of people are giving them credit for. Dwayne Sutton had a monster game against Christian Academy with 22 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.
