We'll start to learn a bit about the 5th Region this week. Some key games:

12/10/13 Tuesday

Bethlehem vs. Thomas Nelson - Bethlehem is re-loading; Thomas Nelson has a wealth of new talent.

Etown vs. Bowling Green - One of region 5's best goes against the top 25 Purples.

Marion County vs. Adair County - Big District 20 battle. May be an indication of who will advance to the region 5 tournament if favored Taylor County wins the district title.

Hart County vs. Green County - there is opportunity for a rebuilding team in the 18th District. Two teams with two new coaches try to grab that ring.

12/13/13 Friday

Central Hardin vs. Elizabethtown - Bruins appear to be rebuilding; a chance to prove them will have a say in the Fifth.

John Hardin vs. Bardstown - early season showdown between two of the top-five teams in region 5.

Hart County at LaRue County - Rebuilding Hart County tries to measure up against the perennial district 18 champs.

The Bardstown-John game tends to always be a dandy, whether during their traditional early-season tilt or in the 5th Region tourney.

Agree. Hope someone will give updates of this game.

Bardstown-Manual game should also be a good game tomorrow night @ Bardstown. Manual is better than alot of people are giving them credit for. Dwayne Sutton had a monster game against Christian Academy with 22 points, 20 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals.

Agree. Hope someone will give updates of this game.

I think this is a hint for the good Doctor James Q. Schue. Or at least I hope it is. :lol2:

Unfortunately, Jim Schue will instead most likely be at Bethlehem@Nelson Co. Scheduling conflicts such as these are why I don't get to see many teams outside of the 19th District. Tomorrow night I have Bethlehem@Thomas Nelson while Btown plays Manual.
