I agree with you, Gallatin has beefed up their schedule which will make them tougher come tournament time. However, Walton's non-region schedule is just brutal especially for a team that is young and inexperienced. They have Dunbar, Boone, Campbell, Notre Dame, Conner, Newport Catholic, Highlands, Holmes and Dixie. Then throw in regional opponents: SK (twice), Owen, South and the others. Like a said, with a schedule like this, it could either make or break them. This could be the toughest out of region schedule of all Class A schools in the state.

Not my Bearcats. Not giving them much love because they lost a lot from last year and those who are returning are relatively inexperienced. I don't know if Mullikin's speed will be exploited because of overall lack of speed on the team. They have no proven consistent scorer but do have some potential threats on any given night. I see Ison as the leading scorer but others will have to step up and perform. They do play a brutal schedule which could make or break them. If they learn and improve along the way, they will get better as the season progresses.

Move Walton Verona to #9 and move the others up and I agree with you. This region is a two horse race between Anderson and SK but GC could be the dark horse and with the right draw, they could find themselves in the finals.

Yes, show some class. It's obvious that BG was out to make a statement that they think they are the best team in the state. There is absolutely no reason to beat someone this bad. Running the score up by passing is uncalled for. Run the ball and eat up the clock between downs. There's no need to try to get in as many reps as possible even though the subs are playing. In my eyes, this lopsided score is like rubbing salt in the wound. If I was a BG fan, I wouldn't be proud of this win.

What are the odds she plays professionally, "none". Hate to see that she is going through all this but it is what it is. It's not like this is her first transfer.

You're the one who posted that there was Team Beechwood, Team Cov Cath, Team Holmes and the other team. You might want to be a little clearer in your posts so it doesn't mislead people. I'm just asking, if teams were randomly selected, how did the majority a teammates end up on the same teams? This just doesn't pass the smell test.

Easy! I'm all for letting the kids play but these open gyms are threading the needle. Based on the posts from the other threads, it is apparent that teams were preselected (did the Holmes, Beechwood or NCC boys split up and play with other players?), score was kept and Coach Dawn was interacting with the boys. If this is not correct, then those who post on the threads should be more specific. I can see why someone could have a concern but its no big deal to me.

I don't have a problem with the kids playing each other but I do believe these open gyms were in a very grey area and may have violated KHSAA regulations. Based on what was posted in previous threads, it appears that some of the teams were predetermined prior to the open gym (Holmes team, Beechwood team, NCC team), score was kept (1st team to 7 baskets wins), and Coach Dawn was present and talked to several players throughout the session. Again, I don't see any harm in these open gyms but I can see why someone would have concern based on the description of these open gyms and possible KHSAA violations.

Gallatin should have another good season. They will be one of the top teams in the 8th. They will go as far as the Dossett's will take them. I look for a big year from both of them.

I thought Ryle would be more competitive.

No case can be made to justify their national ranking but it does lead to entertaining reading.

I hope they have more size than that.

At the college level, I don't think the coach should have to explain anything to the parents. It's between the kid and coach and mommy/daddy needs to stay out of it. I've had kids who have played college ball and at no point would I have ever questioned the coach. It's not middle/high school.
