Matt is a rebounder, hardworker, and has gotten much stronger over the years. Has a good 12-15 ft jumper. Should be able to do a lot of things that Steiner asks of him.

*(this is part of a series about potentially under-recognized kids in NKY started by Big Fundamental).

You are not going to outwork Matt, period. The kid only knows how to work hard and puts in the time every day in the gym and weight room. Great kid with great parents that give him the support he needs. I wish him the best this year.

I saw this kid once last year and he immediately jumped out at me. Big strong kid.

Is he a junior?

Yes he is. He played with the NKY Bulldogs for the last two summers.

Really like his work ethic. He's got good size and seems to get up and down the floor pretty well for a big.

I don't know him personally but I've heard he is an ace in the classroom and does whatever it takes to improve on the hardwood.

Having Matt will allow SK to some different things they haven't done recently. The lack of size at SK is suprising, especially with the # of students. Looking forward to seeing Matt, Taylor and Brennan on the baseline.

Nice player. I agree a hard worker. I thought he would have gotten more minutes last year. Great family as well- as a fun fact he has 3 sisters and all four have the same birthday. They are quadruplets!

We need some of those Owen County families to move north. They have a quality big each year while we have one per decade.

SK will have size this year. Vercheack 6'5 250 and Deaton 6'3 215 should help in the post .

I hope they have more size than that.
