Sullivan is a very good coach and his teams are always prepared. Congrats on the win.

Nell is just that much better of a coach than others. Tournament time is what she lives for and her teams are prepared and she wins.

Walton got out played tonight. Grant came in with a game plan and stuck with it and Walton seemed unprepared and made no adjustments. Walton's offense has been non-existent all year and tonight it wasn't any better. Billie Hearn was the best player on the floor and Walton's bigs were a non-factor. I know that Walton has had some injuries this year and they struggled to work through them but everybody was back tonight and there are no excuses. They play such a slow paced, methodical game that it keeps teams in the game and tonight it came back to bite them. Grant did what they needed to do and executed when they needed to and got the win. Honestly, not taking anything away from Grant, it was a disappointing performance by Walton. They should have won this game easily (beat Grant twice convincingly during the regular season) but couldn't do it tonight. In my eyes, Walton underacheived this year and didn't show the growth and development as a team. Congrats to Grant and good luck against SK.

I really didn't think this game would have been this close. Sounds like a great game plan by Coach Trame but they fell a little short. SK looked confused and frustrated but they held on. They will definitely have to play better if they have any thoughts of winning the 8th.

Nell is always a factor. Her record speaks for itself. Her team was prepared for tonight's battle and they move on to play Ryle.

Great game and most of this thread has focused on one play/call. Does anyone want to talk about the rest of the game or continue to beat this dead horse?

I guess Coach Trame isn't as horrible contrary to some of the Walton supporters. Some have rode him like a wet horse but tonight showed he can coach. Game plan was exceptional and if there hadn't been a couple of brain farts by the players, they could have pulled the huge upset. Trame can flat out coach! Congrats to SK on the win and good luck against Grant.

Great win for Boone. The #4 knocking off the #1 seed. I watched the game and their shouldn't be any excuses from either side. Both teams had their chances and Boone made the most of them. I thought the officiating was a non-factor. Just because Conner had more fouls doesn't mean they were getting homered. It's tough to beat Nell when it's tournament time especially if she has a few days to prepare.

I believe that Billie Hearn was the player that "sportslady" was referring to. She is the only one invited from the 8th.

I'll take Boone because they are on their home floor and they have Nell on the bench. Her team's are always tough to beat come tournament time. Boone by 6.

I'll take the Birds by 8. They are playing at home and New Cath has been slumping lately.

The last time Eminence went to the Regional Tournament was during the 1999/2000 season. They lost in the district final to Shelby and lost to Bullitt East in the first round of the regional.
