Great game, tough fought on both sides.

Boone led the majority of the game but it was always close. Conner took the lead late but Boone fought back to tie it and send it to OT. Fun game to watch.

Tonight I saw why Jones has a D-1 scholarship. She has really stepped up her offensive game and is simply all over the floor on defense. Boone shot lights out in the first half. Conner played hard and had their share of chances to win it but just fell short. I did think the refs favored Boone in the second half but certainly would not be the reason for the Conner loss. I am sure a lot of people will form an opinion as to why they lost but in the end Boone and how they played was the difference. Congratulations to Boone and the Conner girls should walk away holding their heads held up high. Good luck to the seniors as they move forward onto college.

Not at all. Conner got by with several travels and no call on fouls and finally the last few minutes of the game they started calling the fouls that were there all game.

As well as some flopping going on, but as I said it's water under the bridge....neither side will ever feel they got the calls they thought they should get so I'll leave it at that.

I think you could point out the travels on both ends of the floor and the multiple carries by Boone's guards. I agree on some of the no call fouls. The Nell factor was there with the refs, OT game and Conner never made it to the double bonus? Conner was whistled for 17-18 in the second half. I guess we saw different games.

I agree with you on the Maines foul....we all said the same thing, it made no sense. Either the shot was good or the shot didn't count due to the foul being before the shot. We said the same thing when it happened. If she was fouled when she was shooting there should of been a traveling call before the foul, but what I thought happened was she was fouled before the shot and it should of been Conner's ball out of bounds because I don't think they were in the bonus yet. you are right that was a big time screw up.

With that said, as I said earlier there were a lot of fouls not called and several traveling calls that weren't called that benefitted Conner. There was no Nell Factor, if there was then it was to go against her.

 

So we will agree to disagree. I don't want the officiating to take away from a great game played by both teams. I wasn't the one who brought up the officiating in the first place.

That is why I said it looked like a travel. I thought she got fouled before the shot, but if she was fouled in the act of shooting then a travel should of been called because she took 3 clear steps before putting the ball up.

 

Either way they screwed that call up. Either give her the basket and let her shoot 1, or give Conner the baall out of bounds. If their explanation is what they claim happened then they should count the baskket because it was in the act of shooting. how do you shoot twice? lol

Interesting, I was close to the floor and I did not hear a whistle until after the shot went in, oh well like Hellbird stated water under the bridge.
