I ask because it matters. Officials have a primary area. If the outside official has the baseline official on his same side then it MIGHT be the baseline's call. It might not. Depends on where the dribble started from. If the baseline official is on the opposite side of the outside official then it's in the primary of the outside official and it's his call especially on a foul from behind.

 

Baseline ref was right below the basket. No doubt had the best view. It was his call. Maines made the shot. Basket should have counted with boone taking the ball out. He never blew whistle so it should have been a play on with no whistle.

With that being said i still think tommy is a great official.

Shoot, I will even go one further. Yes I'd give her the basket but I'd also say since the whistle was blown then give her the basket and a foul and let her shoot 1.

And there are some who say there is not a Nell factor. She is great coach and I give her credit for having the ability to influence the game from the bench. What she has done with this group of young women has been nothing short of amazing and I wish her and Boone girls the best of luck. All those others coaches in the ninth are turning right now knowing they have to face Nell and her effect on the game. She is for sure the "9" man!

Nell is always a factor. Her record speaks for itself. Her team was prepared for tonight's battle and they move on to play Ryle.

Congrats to the Lady Rebels and to Nell and her staff. Good luck against Ryle.

I feel bad for Stamm and the Cougars. It seemed like their year to finally break through and advance to Region. I guess it was not meant to be. Same with Cooper. Ryle vs. Boone again. Should be another good one.

Congratulations to Coach Fookes and her Lady Rebels on a very hard fought win. I thought several girls on both sides played excellent. I was very impressed with the 2nd half effort that Conners Madi Meyers displayed albeit in a losing cause. She was a force inside and she should be one of the best players in the 9th Region if she continues to improve next season. Great win for the Rebels and a good season for the Conner Lady Cougars.

Shoot........... I was hoping this was the year that Coach Stamm could break though the barrier.

I thought she picked her dribble up and was pushed from behind. This caused her to go forward, after she landed, she then shot it.

Did POY candidate Scott play in this game? I have not seen anyone mention how she played.
