I think all coaches give it their best effort and want to do the things that are best for their program. People will always disagree with their decisions, including me, but I know they are working hard for their kids and school. Coaching sucesses or lack of, isn't totally based on wins, losses and championships. Helping the kids grow and mature into young adults can be more rewarding and if you look at the grand scheme of things, that's more important than basketball.

I don't think Dan had any thoughts that this would be his last year at the beginning of the season. As the season progressed and the rumblings began, the writing was on the wall. Dan is well liked by many within the Walton community but not so well liked by others. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Dan is a class act and its ashame that he is stepping down.

I have to agree with you. Coaching at Walton is a tough job because of all the parental influence. Make enough noise and things happen. This seems to be a recurring scenario at Walton. I'm sure there are more qualified and knowledgable coaches out there just waiting for the opportunity to replace Coach Trame. They are losing a good one.

It's extremely difficult to beat a team three times in one season. Both games were a dog fight and I expect tonight to be the same. I think it will be close with SK winning by 4. It's going to be a fun game to watch.
