Not wanting to look ahead or anything, but... Has Scott and Montgomery played each other over the past few years? If so what was the outcome?

This may be a bit of a stretch but I'm sure some of the seniors on this Indian team were probably on the bench in the region final blowout loss to Pendleton in 05. If they were in need of any more motivation maybe they could draw on that experience.

I haven't seen too many teams from the 10th play but I would say: Best performance as a team: GRC in the 40th district finals and Mason Co. over Lex Cath at Memorial Best coach: Bishop Brossart's coach for his game plan agaisnt UHA in the All A Classic Player of the Year: D. Miller - Mason Defensive Player of the Year: B. Rash - Montgomery Freshman of the Year: R. Stenzel - GRC Mr. Hustle: J. Clark - Montgomery

Pendleton has 7 wins, Montgomery has 7 losses. That makes for any easy choice.

Trying to pick the outcome of a Montgomery/ Clark Co. game is like trying to pick a stock in the stock market. The rivalry is so intense you never know what is going to happen. If these two teams meet again throw out the records and what happended in previous games in this intense rivalry.

EKU isn't splitting sessions. That may be a better deal. But maybe I can watch both EKU games and then the Indians game (if they beat PC).

What time are the semis on Saturday? What time is the finals? I may have to choose between the 10th and 11th region semis on Saturday.

Man, the Indians got a dream draw! Pretty lucky but I'll take it.

I would just like to congratulate and recognize Tim Riley and the Dragons for their streak of six years winning the region tournament. They were elimated in the district this year and will not be at Rupp. But looking back what an accomplishment! The run also included one title in 2004.

I remember the Mercer Co. team, I think they had the worst record at a few games under .500. Also I believe there have been about 5 teams at .500 or worse make it. I know they are listed in the Sweet 16 program. I think Barren Co. had a pretty bad record a few years before the Warren Central run started in the 4th.

I don't think the talent level is down if you look at how the 10th normally is looking back over the past 15, 25, or 35 years. I mean yeah it was really good the last few years but we have a top five team in the state along with two other solid borderline top 25 teams and also I think there is lots of parody with Campbell Co. also being able to make some noise. I think a lot of other regions do not have the talent the 10th has including the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th regions. I think in all of these cases the #1 team from the 10th can beat the #1 team from the other region, and the same can be said for the #2 and #3 matchups.

I would agree that the Indians schedule was just as hard if not harder than GRC's. Mason Co. twice, Tates Creek, Madison Central, Hazard, and Manual are all solid teams.

I wonder if the Indians are organizing another "Blue out" where all MCHS fans wear blue. I would encourage them all to do so anyway.

I would say the following teams not making region were surprising to me: 15 Pikeville 14 June Buchanan 13 Pineville 12 McCreary 9 Boone Co 6 DeSales I think if Hazard and Corbin and Lincoln Co. don't advance to the sweet 16 the bottom bracket is going to be very terrible especially the quarter that has the 14, 13, 12, and 8 regions. I hope those teams make it because I want to see some good b-ball!

I don't know why the girls and boys regionals are played during the same weeks. This happened last year because of the NCAA being at Rupp but I don't know why it is like that this year. It is silly. In the past the girls would play region one weekend and the boys would play the next or vice versa. Now the boys are stuck playing their big games during non primetime slots such as Sunday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, Monday night and Tuesday night.

Mack attack. But any one of the big 3 can really help their case by getting to Rupp and putting on a show.

Agree, the playoffs are not time to mess around. There is no letting up in the playoffs.

Also Larry Tiller has done a nice job with this team.

Good to see that Estill won. Christopher has had a great career and it's not over yet.

I thought the 43rd district (Lex Cath, Dunbar, Lafeyette, Tates Creek, LCA) seeded. The KHSAA says the don't. It sure looks like they do though with Cath playing the Lafeyette/ LCA winner and Dunbar playing Tates Creek.

Is Cov Cath healthy? I saw them in the fifth third and they looked good agaisnt Elliott but they had a kid get hurt pretty bad in that tournament. I know they played well early on so I didn't know I don't know if they had injuries or just peaked early because they went on a skid a few weeks ago.
