  1. I think BG got a big time top 200 player in the nation transfer from out of state.
  2. I thought about putting Holmes above Eastern but didn't for two reasons. 1. I think Holmes will miss pg Riley more than people think 2. Eastern lost to only one team in the regular season last year (J-town) despite playing in the brutal 7th region. Plus, they got revenge agaisnt J-town when it mattered (the region). Also, I didn't hesitate to put Scott County number 1. They are loaded. Their top four guys will be D-1. But I agree that a case could be made to have Holmes ranked 1 or 2.
  3. I think Mason County will be pretty good. I would probably have them somewhere in the top 15 or top 20 to start the season. If you watched the game agaisnt S. Valley at Rupp last year you will see how much Middleton meant to that team. I'm not sure how deep they will be with the losses of Barner and Downing.
  4. I don't know. I was reading some threads saying he is definately going to S. Valley. Other recent threads have him staying at Hazard. I really have no clue but I'm going to assume he is Hazard until I hear for sure he is not.
  5. 1. Scott Co. 2. Eastern 3. Holmes 4. J-town 5. GRC 6. Shelby Valley 7. Lex Cath 8. Ballard 9. Christian Co. 10. Tates Creek If Josh Whitaker does end up at S. Valley move them up to #4.
  6. I find it cool that Vanderbilt now makes more money from TV than Notre Dame. I love the new SEC contract!
  7. What do we have to go by then? Did God leave it up to us to figure out how to please him and obtain salvation? I believe the bible is all we need and that it can be understood. I don't think the Lord would leave us in the dark. There is a way that seems right to man but leads to destruction. It is not in man to direct his own steps.
  8. I agree. I try to stick with what the Bible says when I study with people. The Lord didn't go through all of the millions of things he doesn't want us to do in regards to spritual mattes but he simply told us what to do. That is all we can go by and teach is what we are told. Its kind of like is a Father gives a kid a twenty dollar bill and says pick up some milk. If the kid comes back with the milk and 20 snicker bars his excuse of well "You didn't say not to" get the snickers isn't going to fly. Or if a Father tells his kid he can borrow the family car to go to the movies and the kid decides to go to the movies and then drives to 1,000 miles to Texas and then drives back his argument of "you didn't say not to" isn't going to fly. Of course that is probably another topic for another day.
  9. I don't think this is mentioned anywhere in the bible.
  10. Yes, Jesus had literal siblings. Check out Mt 13:55 and Jn 7:1-9 (especially v5). It is widely believed (and talked about by the historian Josepheus who lived near the time of Christ) that Jesus brother James actually wrote the book of James. He is also mentioned in the book of Acts.
  11. Huntington is just a few miles from KY so Patterson is from the "area". Kind of like Eric Daniels from Cincy.
  12. So will Hazard no longer be the favorite to win the 14th? Possibly co-favorites with PCC?
  13. John Wall didn't listen to his advisor and Xavier Henry shouldn't listen to his mother (as bad as that sounds). This is a once in a lifetime chance for them and they should go where they want.
  14. With Zollo moving to KY to be closer to UK and now him decommiting from the Cats is there any chance he may move again to another school?
  15. The Indians should have a good backfield with QB Seth Dotson, FB Zach Hood, and HB Tyler Murphy. Justin Covey is an experienced WR and Andre McCall is a solid linemen. Dotson, Covey, and Murphy also play DB. What are the big question marks for this team? Depth? Do you think the new power I offense will work? Who are other key returnees?
  16. The only question mark I see for GRC is at PG. I expect Stenzel to have to handle the ball a lot. I think GRC is #5 in the state behind J-town, Eastern, Holmes, and Scott Co. (no order). I would be surprised for GRC not to be at Rupp next year.
  17. Didn't the NCAA make Morris sit out half of the next year? Would they do the same thing if Jodie tried to come back? Either way I say he is gone whether drafted, NBA DL, overseas, etc.
  18. I like the NKJV but I also have used the NIV, NAS, and KJ. If someone insisted on only using the KJV to study out of us I would accomadate them.
  19. Just because the NBA fines someone for doing something doesn't mean it is wrong. The NBA front office isn't the brightest. People are fined for complaining about the refs but it isn't wrong. I don't like U of L or know all the facts but I still wouldn't put much stock in what the NBA front office does.
  20. Why did they, quote on quote, get rid of Galloway? They could use him now I think. They have an opening.
  21. Unions are bad. I worked for a hospital chain that had a union. I was not in the union but a lot of people were and one night at midnight all of the nurses simply walked out on their patients. Also the steelworkers at the hospital had a seperate union and they went on strike for 3 months. Unions are bad enough when they involve plants and factories but I couldn't believe caregivers walked out on patients.
  22. Yeah I'm sure they like to pick and choose which scriptures are accurate and which aren't based on what makes their view look better.
