Final.

Montgomery Co will play the winner of the GRC vs Bourbon Co game on Friday.

Congrats Indians.:thumb:

Congrats Montgomery! Big win.

No surprise hear but Congrats to the Indians.

Go Tribe.

Anyone have any stats on this game yet?

Wasn't at this game but I heard MC kept their starters in and pressed throughout the 3rd quarter. Looking at this margin its hard to believe this didn't happen.

It's tournament time people...teams are looking to get better and improve for the remainder of the post season. I don't think Montgomery County wanted to waste a night to improve their gameplan for Clark County on Friday night.

But you don't need three starters in the game when your team is up 40 points heading into the final quarter. They got their point across in the third quarter and they didn't gain anything by keeping some of those kids in during the final quarter. That says a lot for their coach!

You're exactly right it does say a lot for Montgomery's coach who is smart enough to play kids, who sat out much of the first half, and work on his press in the third and play them in the fourth quarter to prepare them for the next game. There is no substitute for the intensity and conditioning in a real game situation (no matter how much you're up). You can practice and prepare but game experience is essential to the maturation process of a player. Even this time of the year! With Montgomery having a 12 day stretch without games they need all the game conditioning they can.

Coach Griesser was not trying to prove a point, if he wanted to do that he would have beaten Paris by 80 (and it could have been done), he was trying to prepare his team the best way he knows how for the tough road ahead of them. And to be honest I think he knows how with his resume boasting a National Championship at Georgetown College and a State Championship at Scott County. :flame:

Agree, the playoffs are not time to mess around. There is no letting up in the playoffs.

And what happens when one of these starters gets hurt. Its one thing if its a close game but when you are already up 30 its a shame.. cause it could have been prevented.

If you play scared that's when someone gets hurt! No prisoners!

May have been the worst I have ever sat through. At halftime it felt like we had been there for hours.

Enough said.

A very bright spot for MC that is worth noting is Jordan Stephens played with some confidence and actually dove head first for a loose ball. I thought that play spoke volumes for him right now.

He has to play all out, every time down the court.
