Pres is all girls. The above enrollment number is wrong though, unless you are doubling for being all girls. They were at 334 in 05-06, should be about the same this year. Yeah they practiced on the baseball field the 1st day (football field was used by X) and they used the main field the next 2 days.

I finally saw some tape of the Trinity - Henry Clay game. Stein had about 6 seconds on every throw. I seriously doubt X will give him the time he's accustomed to lately, unless Beatty is right and the oline is that much improved. We'll see. Got Tigers! Good game to everyone though.

I knew they could do it, because they were the hardest hitting team that St X played this year. Not ONE of the hardest. THE hardest hitters. You know it's a cinderella story when, and this is my fav part of the story, Central had not even used their mascot all season. Don't know why, maybe they hadn't in years. In fact, they still weren't several games into the playoffs. Then a few games back, they figured they better find the mascot uni (it was sitting in the coaches office) dust her off and put her to use. Thats classic!! Congrats Jackets. St X fan everywhere is proud of you!

Here'a detail. This is the first time Holy Cross has beaten PRP in their 22 year history!!! Go Cougars. This shows you that any team can win on any given day. In any sport. HC was down 10 in the 3rd QTR, when they had a 17 - 0 run :eek:. Lots of easy baskets. Adam Delph had 26 for PRP.

Oddly enough when I was younger, I had a race team called "Kamikaze Racing", meant to imply I would do anything on a track, including hit you to win. Then I met a WWII vet who watched me race and he showed me the error of my ways. Had my dad been alive, he would have felt the same as he was stationed in the Pacific as well. Sometimes we don't realize we are being insensitive.

This in a nutshell is the Trinity - St X rivalry. They tailgate together, they sit together and even drive to the game in the same cars. :dancingpa Many families have fans for both teams under the same roof. Maybe this comraderie is a key element in any strong rivalry, just like the Highlands - NCC!

At our school, Mercy Academy, many of the BBall players play other sports. Field Hockey and Golf are more likely than volleyball due to the strong club programs for VBall. It's just about year round. For guys, look at Brian Brohm, who starred in FB, BB and Baseball. He went to state in all 3 sports. Don't know whether it's frowned upon in catholic schools, but playing multiple sports seems to happen a lot.

Heard an interesting stat on the air today. Coach Beatty has NEVER lost to a team the 2nd time they faced them in a season. :scared: Obviously he can make adjustments. I hope X didn't show them too much in that first game. Go Tigers!!!!!!

No dog in this fight, but my 0.02 ..... I saw about half the St X games, and at least heard the others on air. Central was the most physical team X played all year, very hard hitting. They were stuffing Deuce on a regular basis until he got hurt. They just wore down at the end. Don't know a thing about Belfry though, and 14 - 0 is nothin to sneeze at. I'm pulling for Central, but good luck to both.

On the JoeB show today, he heard Robey might announce today sometime....anyone hear anything?

Hey, just a friendly little jab I said. Only a few folks know whether he did or not anyway, those in the pile. It was a heckuva tackle either way. Good luck Saturday. I like your position better as the underdog, just like last time. Hopefully for me the game plays like chalk this year.

Since they did not tape because they were asked not too, they really didn't break the rules, did they? Would that still be a violation? Maybe they didn't know. Case in point: I, as a parent and not a coach, taped a game of a field hockey team and they were not playing my daughters team at the time. I mainly focused on one position, and specifically one girl. I did this because the girl I was taping is spectacular, is very small like my daughter. I wanted my daughter to see the moves she uses against bigger and stronger defenders. Did I do anything wrong?

I think Vic made it..that's all. I was on around the five, so I didn't have a straight shot though. Should'nt have been that close to begin with anyway, it was just a jab. :fight: Go Tigers!
