I believe they did. You might dislike X because they win but Coach Glaser is all class. Central IMO is the best story in KY high school football in a long time.

I saw this on the news one evening and Central was practicing on the X baseball field.

Yeah they practiced on the baseball field the 1st day (football field was used by X) and they used the main field the next 2 days.

Then why only 2 of the out of town teams do it? We asked Central directly as we played them a couple of weeks ago and gained much respect for them and their coaches.

St X has always had a special relationship with central. As some people already know, St. X was the first school to agree to play Central in both Football and basketball back during the civil rights era. All of us at St. X have an incredible amount of respect for the Central team. Their boys play just as hard as any team we play. Congratulations on a WELL EARNED win!

Coach Scroggins has acknowledged the phone call he received from Coach Glaser inviting the Yellowjackets into the Tiger Den.

Don't even attempt to negatively spin this gesture. Class move from X. I appreciate it as a public school person.

Found out my answer. Talked with Coach today. St. X called Central with the invite. St. X's coach and AD were the two spear heads on this one. I respect St. X and wish them nothing but the best for the years to come. Sorry that they did not beat Trinity. That would have been special. Maybe one day Central can repay the hospitality. Thank you Mike Glaser.

The finals were played on Field Turf. Trinity, St X and PJCS are the Field Turf facilities in Louisville.

I concur as well as to the classy move on X's part. Spoke with a CHS administrator/faculty member who told me. Like to see what the negative public vs. private folks do with that one. /CHS had alot of support in their game from we "privates."

 

Anyway, nice move. Good for both of you.
