They have three pitchers remaining, but I only see two pitching. Smith and Larrimore will pitch if they get to the championship. Snyder can throw but he plays behind the plate and never pitches.

I'm saying that Smith will throw. I'm 90% sure that Smith will be on the mound. Connor can hit just as good as any team in the 9th and Smith will need to shut them down. I expect Connor to get 4 on Smith, what it comes down to is if BW can produce runs like they did yesterday.

A pitcher I would like to see throw in Regionals is Snyder from Beechwood. He hasn't thrown much this year. That could hurt the Tigers if they pull off a run in the tourny.

I think the reason all these 1A teams want Beechwood to move up is that they are tired and jealous of Beechwood always winning. Listen, Beechwood doesn't always win because they are Beechwood. They win because they work harder than everybody else. Every single week since mid January, these young men are literally pushed to the very edge. At Beechwood, the staff instills in them the fact that Ft. Mitchell doesn't accept a loss like in other places. Losing is not an option. And if they do lose, well trust me, the young men aren't very happy for a long time. People want them to move up because Class A is watered down. Class A still has 15 schools that have a higher enrollment than Beechwood. It is true that there is less competition with NCC and Danville moving up classes, but Hazard, LCA, and several other teams are extremely talented. With all respect, the other teams who don't win the state championsip are just jealous of Beechwood's success, and it will always be like that with a team who constantly wins. We are used to hearing this stuff and to tell you the truth it just makes us laugh, and yea, get a little angry and want get some retribution for the words said. But I say this, as a former player, do not whine about how Beechwood is " too this or that" or " need to do this", work your butts off like we do and act like men. If you don't want us to win the title anymore, stop us. Walk the walk, don't talk the talk.

I have not seen Pohlgeers play recently but I am sure that he is on a summer team. Fangman will be a big contributer to the team next year but no Larry Bird. Fangman is big and he has a soft touch, hopefully Maricle can come in provide some physicality to the small Tigers.

How about the Baioni's in the first round. Highlands and Beechwood. Hate to be at the next family holiday...

Is there an All-District Tourny Team? Because I know basketball has it, and I would think baseball should have it.

Euton is a very nice player, but IMO he is not D1 Caliber. I have no idea how he had a scholarship from a school like Kentucky, but I hope something else comes up for the kid. Best of luck to him.

Did Hammons pitch for Ludlow?

I'm not 100% sure upon exactly what happened but this is what I recall. Brilz hits a bloop single over 2nd baseman's head. Michael Colosimo has a FC. CJ Bertke walked and pinch ran for. Josh Bertke got HBP and pinch ran for. Bases loaded one out. Chas Hyde goes down either 1-2 or 0-2 in the count. Battles through to create a walk. One run scores. HC pulls Roeneker and puts in a lefty(not sure of his name). Then Snyder hits a 1-1 curveball up the middle right past the pitcher. Tigers score one, and win.

The play of the game would have to be Roenker's balk. Showed Beechwood they had some hope. Brought the game within one and the Tigers capitalized on that little piece of momentum in the 7th.

Talked to AJ today. He WILL be pitching come Tuesday. He says they think he broke his cheek bone right underneath his eye.

I would say the most interesting game will be Holy Cross versus Beechwood to see who makes regionals. Smith verse Roeneker is easily the top five pitching duels this year. The biggest one would probably have been Isler verse Smith.

I believe Bertke will be on the mound. He only threw one inning verse Simon Kenton on Tuesday.

Beechwood got their's the other day. They look pretty nice.

If Smith is throwing well, no one for HC will touch him.

I would guess what the did versus Stephon Curry. Triangle and 2 with the 2 on Bryan. He didn't have the cast behind him to win close ball games.
