Justin Moore is an amazing person on and off the basketball court. He has put life into that basketball program and then some..... He is a motivator, a counselor, and a great coach to those kids. I would love to have a son to play for him because I know he is learn about life and what it takes to be successful. I know that Menifee had probably their best summer in a long time. Coach Moore took Menifee County to Lexington Catholic Camp and other camps this summer and they are very successful. I know you don't win a championship in the summer but championships are built in the summer and Coach Moore has really changed the attitude of the kids and community. I know Menifee County will be a better team and will make a great suprise for a lot of teams around the area. Coach Moore is a class act persona and I wish him nothing but the best in life.

Class of 2010, Jared Stacy from Rowan Co. has been playing well. He won an EKJGA tournament this summer and has finished in the top 3 at 3 Pepsi Tour tournaments so far.

Christian County will be very, very tough next season. I've heard from a very reliable source they are loaded with talent and have a great coach. They have won the 2nd Region 2 out of the last 3 years. They will be one of the toughest in the state. They have possible 3 players on that team that should play Division I when they graduate from high school. Best players are 2 sophs and freshman. WOW!!!!!:fight:

Who is the champion at Rupp?

There are so many good assistant coaches across Kentucky even though some are not mentioned. I think Roscoe Denny ( South Laurel), Robbie Graham (Clark Co), Jeff Hall/Jerry Davis (Fairview), and Robert Moore (Mason County) are really outstanding coaches. These head coaches should be very grateful and thankful to have people like these assistant coaches in their program. If I was a head coach and these guys were on my staff, I would tell them everyday how much I appreciate them. Good help today is hard to come by. Never take anything for granted.

Being a 16th region fan before most of you were born, I would also consider Chris Trusty, who is now the athletic director at Morgan County High School. Very knowledgable and has a great attitude when it comes with kids. He helped Morgan County win their 1st regional title about 4 years ago. He would be a good choice for someone. He is a winner! I would take him.

Robbie Graham has a good history of basketball. I believe he is cousins with Chris Lofton (Tennessee), his nephew (Josh Graham) played at Virginia Commenwealth University. Clark County is very lucky to have an assistant like Coach Graham. He is definitely a sponge when it comes to basketball. I could see Coach Graham taking over a high school program and be very successful. I think schools that are looking for a good coach need to get in contact with Coach Graham because he could do great things in his program.

Robbie Graham of Clark County is a great assistant coach. He could take over a program anytime. I believe he played at Vanderbilt University for a year. He helped Fleming County win 2 regional championships with Lake Kelly. Now, he helped Clark County win a regional championship last year.

Rowan County loses Spurlock, Barr, and Howard next year. They will still have Martin, Riddle, Brockman, Kiser, Kissenger and others back for next year.

Breathitt County is a pretty young team and will be good next season. Great game for 2 teams today. Breathitt will try to use the height advantange against Dupont Manual. I know Manual is very quick and will use their press against Breathitt County.

Breathitt County used their height advantage and taking care of the basketball in the 2nd half. Rowan County couldn't get any shots to fall in the 2nd half. Breathitt County goes on a 16-2 run and the Lady Cats were down 7 points in the 3rd quarter. Rowan County knocks down 5 3's in the first half and only 1 in the final seconds of the 2nd half. Rowan County had a phenominal year. Good luck to Breathitt County as they face Dupont Manual. :walk:

Breathitt County 60 Rowan County 49 Final Spurlock and Brockman fouls out. Breathitt used their height advantage over Rowan County. Breathitt did a good job in the 2nd half of taking care of the basketball. Spurlock had 1 point going in the 4th quarter and scores 6 points for the game.

Rowan County has tourney experience by going to state in 2005, go to 16th region finals in 2006 against Rose Hill (state runner-up), and 2008. Breathitt County going to state tourney in 2007 and 2008. Rowan's defense can win this basketball game. They have been the "Divas of Defense" since 2005.

I just heard that Breathitt was a big team but the guard play is not as good. Rowan has good guards and should put huge pressure on the Lady Cats and make it tough for them this afternoon.

I believe that a Rowan County Lady Viking players has received 3 out of the 4 years of the 16th Regional Tournament the "Best Defensive" Award which goes to an individual. 2005- Nicole Barr (Rowan) 2006- Megan Hughes (Rowan) 2007- ?????? 2008- Cassidi Spurlock (Rowan) Its a great trademark for the Lady Vikings of Rowan County.

I will be at the game tonight, but is anyone going to give updates of the Ashland vs Rowan score on bluegrasspreps. My family will not be in attendance but would love for someone to post the scores on the preps. Any appreciation would surely help us. I don't even have a cell phone. Thanks!

One to watch in the 16th. for sure.

Helping to "fill in the blanks", Rowan Co. has 5 or 6 players back who could all be very good this year: Laken Johnson, pitched and played SS, for Post 76 some last year, hits well: Jason Brockman, P or SS, good hitter; Skylar Adams, P, C, infield, good power; Nathan Miles , great CF, speed, good leadoff man; Nick Duff, LHP, play any position, leadoff type hitter; J.D. Patrick, C, infield, good hitter, can pitch; some others could step up, and there may be some I don't know about.

Wow! Big upset in Sandy Hook tonight as West Carter beats East Carter by 4 points. What is everybody's input on this game? :fight:

If Leslie Eagle will play like a beast and play to her potential, I can see Morgan County win the 62nd. If she doesn't play to her fullest and it is passive then they could take an early exit. She could be "all-world" if she only realizes it because of her gifts, but its her "choice" if she wants to be that type of player.
