That's an amzing LIT rating, and as most of us proclaimed, barring some crazy events they should be bringing home the title. What scares me most, is that X is crazy good now, normally we have our shot at moving up....

 Suprised the Cards are ranked that high....guess shutting out their two oponents may have helped in thier ranking.

The 37th and worst high school in the LIT ratings is also the largest high school in the state.

What a shame!

How are they ranked lower than Cooper?

How are they ranked lower than Cooper?

That is a very good question:confused:

How are they ranked lower than Cooper?

Thats what I noticed from these rankings! I see Cooper being dead last and rightfully so.

Way, way too early to know anything other than X is out of the box fast, a ton of things could change the outlook(injuries). The first big test comes next week vs. Male. The big picture will not be known for a while. As proven in the past even the regular season X/T may not tell us everything.Long way to go! Although my hope is this team is like 2004 and they just walk away with it!

Stat from the Lexington Herald: Dunbar had minus-73 yards rushing and allowed seven sacks in loss to Middlesboro last week.

I think there is a very, very good chance that Dunbar is the worst team in 6A and finishes 0-10. They have been thrashed the past two weeks by teams that are not even ranked very high in smaller classes. After the beating I expect Scott County to give them tonight, their rating will drop even more...

Why have they fallen so far, so fast?

Why have they fallen so far, so fast?

We know it's not numbers.

Why have they fallen so far, so fast?

I think there are a variety of reasons (with others closer to the situation to answer than me), but things are getting worse before they are getting better:

Dunbar's remaining schedule has Trinity, Boyle County, Henry Clay, Scott County, and Madison Central who are all highly ranked in thier respective classes.........to go along with Tates Creek, Lafayette, and Pulaski Southwestern who I assume are all better than Middlesboro.

We know it's not numbers.

Or facilities.

Or facilities.

In my very unscientific opinion, many of the good Lexington athletes gravitate toward the roundball and baseball leaving a talent void in football at many schools. Tates Creek, Dunbar and Lex Cath all have some very athletic baseball players who could help their football squads but they have chosen to focus on their primary sport.

How is LIT ratings done?

Schedule strength?? What else?
