Joey Rief of the camels is most likely to be the #2 starter for the camels this year. He pitched jv and varsity last year and is going to be really impressive this year. IMO He posted a 0.76 ERA last year for jv and should be a big part of the rotation this year.:popcorn:

I think the Camels need to focus on the Boone County Rebels for now. They play tonight at 6 and 7:30 at CCHS. THis will be making up a cancelled game from earlier in the season.

Mark down the date. 1/13/09. I have finally agreed with an entire post made by Striker! Usually were on opposite ends of the spectrum. In Campbell County you would be hard pressed to find someone who misses Reitz or would take him over Code as a head coach. His career has been no better than mediocre in the recent past. I can see how some can put Clark ahead of Mason on paper but out on the floor i think Mason wins 4 of 5 against Clark. What has happened to Montgomery? I haven't heard much from them all year.

No. He didn't you may think he started because he played for a while, while Pete has his nose bleed issues but he did not start. So for YOU to make THAT statement is completely wrong.

Hmmm. Well I do believe that last years CC team at the time of the BB game was made up of 5 players that hadn't ever started varsity before. So this team has grown as well. And I know this is a different team than last year probably much better on both sides of the ball but for as much as they have grown Campbell has as well. They beat Pendleton last week playing C- ball at best and also took down Dixie playing possibly as bad as they could have. If Scott Code can get the boys firing on all cylinders there is now way that BB will stop them, maybe slow them down, but not stop them. But even having said that the more i think about this game and the match ups I see a big night for Albrecht and Nerl and a Campbell win by 15 or less it will be pretty close but IMO CC has way too many offensive weapons for BB to contain even under a Mike Code defense. He's a GREAT coach and has done things for BB that I dont think could be done by anyone else in the head spot dont get me wrong but he can't walk on water like som BB fans would like to believe.

How can the 3rd ranked team in the region not have their best player in the top ten?:confused: Nerl is explosive offensively and one of the stingiest defenders you can find with his length. The kid was born to play this game. Unfortunatly he doesn't get the respect he deserves.:mad:

Completely true. When Nerl is at his best hes top 3 or 4 in the region without question. No one in the 37th is even close to Nerl talent wise, he most likely has the best jumper I have seen.

Travis Thompson is the obvious best player in the state. An individual title in 2007 and a playoff loss in 2008 cannot be argued with. Oh yeah one more thing, he's got another year left, that's just scary good.

What? If his team won why do you have him as an individual qualifier? Or are those the two low scores? Can you verify?
