  1. Doubtful! Code couldn't figure out a way to win if Kobe Bryant threw on a Camel jersey. Ryle 5-10
  2. How's Shover's health looking? Has he played any recently? Great kid and great player it's tough to see him not being able to do what he loves.
  3. True the big 3 never come out but as for Smith, Neises, Wolf and Geiman if they make one mistake they are benched. I don't think someone who has seen 5 games can honestly have an opinion on this subject that can be based on any real fact. Depending on which 5 you have seen this team could look like a Regional Champ or a team that gets ousted in the first round of Districts by 40. I can finally say I've had about enough of people thinking just because people have a problem with Code's coaching that we all want Reitz back for another go around. NO ONE has ever said that. I also always enjoy how the Brossart faithful can so easily defend Code when hes obviously doing a sub-par job. Code's year this year has been quite Reitz like, results wise. The Camels main problem is the offensive side of the ball where if you have seen more than five games will take a lot longer than a week before districts to make any sort of change. As individuals they are great players with a ton of talent, but as a single unit under this offensive system they are downright awful. Don't get me wrong I'm not blaming the boys for a very very poor game plan. They do all they can but its like they're bringing a knife to a gunfight every time they dribble the ball up the floor.
  4. The camels have absolutely fallen off. From top to bottom. Last year the Camels had a defense that anchored their team and this year it has all but vanished. Anyone who sits through the punishment that is a Campbell County game can see that. Instead of the players playing with intensity, determination and confidence they play with fear and an overall dislike of the game as a whole. Code's boys aren't allowed to play the way they know how, the way that got them on the team in the first place. With every trip up the floor there is an overwhelming mood of panic and apprehension. No one can make a mistake or they face the black hole that is the bench, no one can play to their potential. This team is out played and out coached night in and night out. As a fan you expect them to lose. If they're up you just think to yourself "How are they going to throw this one away?" IMO barring an absolute act of god they will most likely be ousted first round of districts. Funny thing is, that may not bother them. :isurrender::isurrender:
  5. Bobby Estes, Joey Rief, Matt Coffman, and Ben Franzen from Campbell
  6. Predictions? I'll take Campbell by 10-15. It's been a rough couple weeks for the Camels I expect them to bounce back. I would love to see a couple bench players step up and contribute to give them a little more depth come tournament time.
  7. 4 pitches? Try 1 and a half. Anyone who has ever faced him is looking for the curve or his slow motion fast ball and he's been rocked several times due to this.
  8. :lol::lol::lol::eek::eek::eek::lol::lol::lol: More like 50-60
  9. Holmes, no brainer. You could match them up with anyone right now and I like their chances.
  10. The top 7 or maybe 8 are solid but when Greg Geiman Started in place of Jordon Smith and took the opening shot of the game, a WIDE open 3 and missed it, he was then benched and I'm not sure if he returned. If your players are so afraid to fail and be taken out that they can't even play comfortably then as a coach you need to back off. The drill sergeant routine only goes so far sometimes you need some positive reinforcement, maybe a better play would be to tell him "hey your gonna make 8 out of 10 of those you'll get it next time" and you never know he may have caught fire and contributed 15 or 20 points for the team. For a player to know a coach has confidence in them means the world. Not just in basketball but in every sport. I know I'm preaching and I am in no way saying i could have done better.
  11. If the Camels were holding the ball in the last 3 minutes I wouldn't have said one word about it being a bad decision but since it was with almost 7 to go and the camels only ended up scoring 2 points after this incident I can honestly say it could be the most ignorant thing I have ever seen. Whats the plan by doing this? Are you going to hold it for 7 minutes for a final shot? I mean really he had them hold the ball from 6:52 until 3:33. Its not the win or loss, its the timing if he had them hold the ball from the 3 minute mark until the end I could see a point but he didn't. He's a great DEFENSIVE minded coach but when it comes to running an offense he seems clueless. They have had a chance to win the last 4 games at the end and they haven't gotten one W out of it. It cant be the players execution because they're talented players and they would have to be able to pull one out of 4 out so it must be the strategy they are given.
  12. I think I found a best friend. I couldn't agree more with you!
  13. Never compared him to Reitz in anyway and I know he's a few steps up but he's obviously poorly managing games at the end if they have lost their last 4 in the same fashion. That's undeniable.
  14. On paper they look very good. All of the starters have had their low points and their peaks, they just haven't all be peaking at the same time, the only person who has been able to hold it together is Nerl. He's been very steady all year.
  15. You have no idea. Code had Brady Jolly stand in one spot for what seemed like an eternity. How can a team with this much talent lose 3 straight by 2 and this one by 4? They're just being out coached out there big time.
  16. The Camels began a possession at about 6:52 in the fourth and had control of the ball until about 3:35 and never attempted one shot when the score was tied. Bold move by Coach Code which did not pay off. Just thought that was interesting of him to stall in a game that they did not have control of esp. when they had lost their last 3 games by 2 points. They have to win a close one sooner or later, right?
  17. With about 6:45 in the 4th Nerl 3 Pointer cut the Royal lead to 3. Then in what seemed to be in a blink of any eye the camels went down 11 with 5 to play and Scott Code Subbed all starters out and Played the JV starting 5 for the rest of the game and also subbed in JV bench players during that time. This obviously had an impact on the final tally. I'll state again that in no way do I think that it would have changed the outcome but it would have altered the final score. Having said that a win is a win and a loss is a loss no matter the difference.
  18. He's the staring PG. He is leaps and bounds ahead of his back ups. This will have a huge effect on the game.
  19. :madman: Although that may be true, Coach Code did take out all the starters and put the JV crew in with 5 minutes of play! :madman: Giving Mason a HUGE advantage to run away with the game. I'm not saying Campbell would have won that game or anything, but that was a big reason why Mason won by 20.
  20. Doesn't matter how many you return if none of them are any good :bunny: Just pushin' your buttons  not trying to start a BB CC fight. I know nothing about Brossart baseball, but Ben Franzen is pretty good. Not on a D1 level or anything but hes a good player. Any team can be dangerous. IMO ANY team can beat ANY other team on a given night. just depends on who's on or off their game, so essentially every team is dangerous.
  21. What time and where is this game? Any word on whether Jordon Smith will be playing for CC? This has huge implications on the outcome of this game.
