Congrats to the Rams on another victory. Also, congrats to the Red Devil's on a hard fought game. Niether team has anything to hang their heads about, IMO. I hope that all of these two team's game against one another will be as good as this one seemed to be.

I think that the Raceland team knows that they are not Russell, and they are OK with that. Somehow, they will survive.

Please don't take what I said the wrong way. I am not stating that Raceland fans would not be able to restrain themselves. I am saying that it would be a two way street in the heated arguement. I agree that this should be a fun game, but you know, as well as I, that there are people who believe that Raceland should not be a contender in this area because of their size. These people will stop at nothing to show their disdain for the "little brother" (as someone else called them) being able to beat anyone else in this area. I can't stand the comments that "so-and-so is a 4A school, there is no way that a 1A school should EVER beat them." Remember this, it's not the size of the dog in the fight.....

I would love to be at this one, too, but I will be working in a haunted house in Flatwoods during the game. Maybe some of the BGPers who go will stop by and tell me how it went afterwards.

Do you think that all of the "Raceland Fans" relunctancy to engage in this thread is because they are unwilling to step into such a heated debate? Maybe they are not "cocky" and are just taking the high road by not ruffling so many feathers close to home. If some of you remember back to the Ashland/Raceland thread, there were a lot of emotions played out on here, and maybe this time they don't want that to happen. I say, just let the boys play and forget about it.

This Halloween, the treats will go to Raceland, and the tricks are reserved for the Devils. I think this one will be an exciting game, but the Rams will be victorious once again. And you know how much it makes my little GREEN heart go pitter patter to make this prediction.

First of all, add Zach Prichard to the list. Lived on Route 1 and gratuated from Fairview in 07. Second of all, I have noticed that there has been no talk about the academic side of things. Isn't it possible that some of these transfers have been due to how far behind GCHS seems to be on standardized tests and such things of that nature? I mean, I know that a lot of the transfers have been due to athletics only, but it's no secret that Greenup's academics are just a tad below par. I saw in another post that they ranked number 200 in the state on average ACT scores!!!! If a parent truly thinks that their son/daughter has the talent to make it into a college athletic program, then wouldn't that parent also want to make sure that their child is prepared academically for college as well? What good would it be for Junior to be the best ball player around if he doesn't have the grades/test scores to get into a college in the first place? Just food for thought.............

I may have to get in on this as a challenge. I have been told that my sweet potato casserole is pretty darn good. You know, the more I read on here, it seems that we should have a BGP cookout for the northeastern part of the state, or anyone else who wants to come. We can show them that we don't need a fancy restaurant.

I will take the Muskies in this one, but it will be close.
