Bell should win this game, but it will be closer than you think!!! Bell Co.-32 Tates Creek-21 Bell Co. can win the region, but Bell Co. is due some bad losses, they have rolled people and have not been challenged yet. Bell is the best team in the 4A but their remaining schedule isn't up to par with Tates Creek even though they themselves are not that tough. Creek keeps it close.

I agree with Leonidas, Madison Southern should have beaten Harrison Co. They are an okay team but a number 1?...No way.

Congrats to Knox Central in this one. Knox simply brought it. Southern was without Rico Brown for most of the game with either a bruised or torn quad not real sure yet. Coach Mills was very classy, he gave the 2nd half to his JV when he could have run the score up. Southern QB freshman Chris Roberts had a tough game but the kid is only a freshman and he WILL be a tough one to handle in the coming years. Again congrats to Knox. and good luck in the playoffs! GO EAGLES!!!

NWO you need to realize that there are only about 26 active players right now because of some nagging injuries. Out of those 26 if I'm not mistaken about 20 played. Yes the bulk of O and D are played by the same 12 to 14 kids, but some of these kids are playing special teams etc. Some of the other kids I was told missed some practice time, and lets be real some are not ready to play varsity mnutes. Coach Brumley is teaching discipline by not letting kids who missed some practice play. I don't care what anyone says if you don't practice you don't play. Depth is hurting Southern, but that is not an excuse to let players play who haven't earned the time no matter what their record is. Southern has managed to stay competitive in almost every game except for a few where they were simply outmanned. That coaching staff has done a great job with what they have. Southern has three or four guys who could play at most schools, and if Coach Brumley has a good winter and get a few more guys who can help then Southern will be back to having strong teams. His staff has done a good job keeping these kids inspired, and I'll say this, this is one of the most disciplined teams that has been here no matter what their record is. Keep fighting Southern...I'll support you guys forever.

I was at this game and it was a great one to watch. Hats off the East for coming back, but Madison Southern had a few suspect calls, one of which East scored a touchdown when the East running back fumbled the ball out of the endzone which should have been a touchback and Southern's ball. I was proud of how those kids fought back after the beating they took at Bell Co. last week. My hat goes off to Coach Brumley and his staff for being able to keep his kids focused when they could have quit weeks ago. This team is growing everyday. I know Madison Southern is 0-8, but these kids fight, and they only play about 15 kids total. Southern is a team full of Juniors and Sophomores, and their quarterback Roberts is a Freshman. If this team has a good winter they will be a tough team to deal with in 2009. Congrats to East Jessamine on a good win, their team and coaching staff are class acts. GO EAGLES...Our time is coming!

Harrison could win if they were more physical. They have a lot more talent than Rockcacstle, but Rock wins because they are tougher.

No ill will to the Berea staff. I hope and wish them well.

Well in defense of the players at Southern, those kids simply turned the ball over in the fourth quarter. This game with Williamsburg will be a dogfight. Southern actually has a pretty competitive team, they have just shot themselves in the foot in key situations. Coach Brumley has a group of tough minded kids who just need to believe in each other. Southern has a great Junior class, and with a great offseason the future should be bright. I will always support Madison Southern, and the fans down there need to support them as well.

Yes, Southern has several returning starters from this game last year. Most of them were Sophomores last year. This is still a young team with about 16 Juniors I believe. Southern 42 Williamsburg 35

Rockcastle is down, but they should be able to win a playoff game because the opposite district they will play in the playoffs is not very good.

If I'm not mistaken Watts had 157 yards rushing 172 passing Rico Brown had 217 rushing Roark for McCreary was around 120 Devon Johnson for Southern was over 100 yards rushing as well I will say this both teams played hard but Southern couldn't finish, those kids have to learn how to win and take advantage of the opprotunity. BOTH teams were called for several personal fouls. I think it showed that Brown and Watts will be playing somewhere big on Saturday's both are incredible players, but both teams need more help.

Rico actually does a lot on defense. If I'm not mistaken he is 1st or 2nd on the team in tackles, and has 3 INT's. I have went to the Williamsburg game and talked to several who say he doesn't do a great job sticking his nosr in there on D. You might be a little mistaken.

Southern's offense tries to get others involved, McCreary every thing goes through Watts. If the entire offense went through Rico then you all would be saying he was better.

Well that's also Highlands, I'm also sure many of their players will play college ball so it doesn't matter what they run. But I'm telling you the 3-5 is not what you want to run against a hard-nosed running team. Plus most 3-5 teams walk up 2 and make it a 5 man front. We could argue this all day, but this is just my opinion.

I thought the winner got either Boyle or Lex Cath. I was under the impression that opposing districts would face off in the first round like in the past.

I'm glad someone out there has given us credit for playing a difficult schedule. Southern may not be the best, but they play teams who are tough and bring it week in and week out. Southern has gotten tougher over the last two weeks and look for them to out tough McCreary. Eagles 35 Raiders 32

Madison Central is the better team but I think they will lose because of the "junk defense" they play. Yes their defense has done a very good job, but also to teams that really aren't up to par. I Clark Co. can slow up Central's nose guard then I believe Clark Co. wins this game in a very close one. What I meant about "junk defense" was the 3-5 they run. To me that isn't very sound against tough teams that can effectively run the ball. Central is very very fast, but a team that can smash will beat them.

Come on now. I know for a fact people that are well to do in many programs send people to "watch" these games. They may not be payed by that university, but they are there on that respective teams behalf. I've been around the show long enough to have seen that.

Madison Southern will win this game 35-28 I will say this, if anybody wants to see two of the more athletic kids around come to this game to see Rico Brown and Aaron Watts. Both are legit D-1 players. The word is there will be a lot of scouts at this one the see these two play.
