Saw the score in the newspaper and that Buckler had a huge game (215yds). Any other word on how the Tigers did?

Good job to both teams...From what I heard this game was a turnover fest for both teams. Walton did a good job on both sides of the ball. Slater for Bellevue had a big game, scoring both TD's for the Tigers.

I found it impressive that Bellevue and their new defense was able to hold Newport to only 6 points and managed to get at least 4 turnovers (that I can remember). Good job to the D. Coordinator and the leader of the defense Travis Lyvers

I also had the opportunity to watch Bellevue play saturday. Despite the slow start, the Tigers were able get the ship going in the right direction, and from the stands Buckler looked like a man amongst boys out there. I have not seen Paris play this year, but from what I have heard about them, their conditioning isn't very good and Bellevue should take advantage of that Bellevue 33 Paris 7

After witnessing the horrendous play of the Sherlock led Devils, I think that Scott may start 2-0 for the first time ever! Scott all the way in this one Scott 27 Dayton 16

I agree with the rest of you, Buckler is no where near overrated. He rushed for almost 900 yds last year with a torn shoudler all year (according to the newspaper). I think he was also the single A player of the year. I look for him to have a big game against newport. I have also heard that Wills is going to be the QB for this game. After watching their practice from under 471, I think Tigers take this one Bellevue 34 Newport 16

After watching the Tigers in their scrimmage against Walton, they need to improve on a couple aspects of the game, which I am sure they will get right this week. Eckstein and his staff, will not take the wildcats lightly and will prepare the Tigers for a win Bellevue 30 Newport 13

Bellevue's administration only had one person that would fit your previous description and thankfully to all the supporters of Bellevue and to the players that person is working in the private sector (from what I hear). Nonetheless, I wish Coach Herald and his assistants the best of luck this year

Ricky Buckler is a certain. Travis Lyers is right there on the defense side. Everyone take notice and look out for Rodney Brock and Nick Evans to make names for themselves for a very good Bellevue team.

I have heard that Sorell is a candidate but that the principal and the new AD, would like to hire someone in the building. I know that basically leaves Wilson, but I think his inexperience might be an issue in hiring him.

I drove past this late this morning and the field looks superb! Who ever takes take of the grass down there is doing a fantastic job and should get a major raise! It hasn't looked this good in years. Golf course greens' keepers should take notes from that guy!:ylsuper:

That's who I have heard is the candidate according to the word on the streets of Bellevue. He seems like a good guy that is loyal to his school and the kinda guy that would do great things for the program. A buddy of mine told me that even though he doesn't have varsity basketball coaching experience that he is currently coaching football with Dave Eckstein and that he had some experience playing at Mount Saint Joe's...hopefully that will help! If he gets the job I wish him the best of luck and hope that his tenure there is longer than the previous 4 or 5 coaches combined
