Was thinking a three man award among these guys as well?? Maybe "Nat Guard" could be replaced by a more local hero? Say "Timmy Taxman" "Billy Bureaucrat??

All "A" tourney qualifications have stayed essentially the same for 25+ years, since it grew from a local to statewide event. Its been contested by about 120-130 schools for the last 20 years if I'm not mistaken? Still think it's a pretty good achievement vs. winning a football championship from a field of 30+, many of which have 0 chance as well??

Mustangs have been dominant in the 10th "A" the last 10+ years (boys) and have done well in the girls' division--Look back at the previous 20 years and you'll see the 9th & 10th were not as single school dominated (both boys & girls). Maybe some of the other schools should up their schedules and challenge themselves more as BB did in the late 90's? Took some losses early, but it's helped in the long run.

So your point is there are a handful of good programs that dominate most regions, and some are in the smaller 40+% of the schools playing hoops in the state?? :confused: News flash--A small percentage of programs win their region the vast majority of the time (in virtually all sports)--Some are consistent winners and they're not all large schools??

Curious who was the MVP of this game assuming the "A" still names a game MVP? Sounds like several options?

Calvary just won the region a couple years ago, and has the banner to prove it in their gym; so I'm guessing it was a bit of a big deal to them? All of the above and the 125+ schools that comprise the All "A" field get to play at least one game in a "regional tourney environment" every year. Rag on this tourney all you will, but it still crowns a champion that survives a regional tourney, and then wins four games in four days on a big stage (sound familiar?). Best of 125 may not sound like much to you & the other All "A" haters, but I'll take it over "surviving" a field of 32 to win a "State Football Championship"??

Corey Pelle was a scoring machine for the Grove from '03-'07. Not sure of his point totals but do believe he started for four years, so it's likely--Had to have 700-800 in his senior year alone?

Congrats to the Mustangs for winning their fourth straight 10th region All "A" Title--Best of luck in Frankfort (Still hard not to say Richmond?). Saunders a beast again tonight. A little love out to the Mustang guards--Ben Uebel, Eric Reiger and Jake Jennings for their tourney performances; especially the Senior Uebel, who should have made the All tourney team for his all around performance and outstanding ball handling & defense (its about more than points sometimes?). Agree they will be a tough out at State--Go represent the 10th well!!

Great win for the 'Birds--Congrats Q, I know your guys needed one like this. Hopefully HHS builds on this and moves forward the remainder of the season. Tough loss for CC--Guessing they figured this one was a win coming in, especially with McGovney back for a few games now?

Good win for CCH regardless!Listened to the post game, and sounds like a good win for BB under the circumstances. Coach Code misses his first ever game as Head Coach with the flu, Trentman absent (ill), Saunders sat out a bunch with some injuries, Burns, Jennings & Uebel in foul trouble; and the JV's came up big.
