  1. Mike Brown & family along with the weather make Cincy the clear worst available job IMO.
  2. Mike Brown couldn't be more of an "in the box" type, as will be his coach (ie: Next Yes Man). He'll probably go with one of his "family" like Hue or Joseph, and hopefully they play to a near empty stadium next year.
  3. Legit question--How many D linemen & backers have the Who-Deys drafted in the last 4-5 years; and with what success? Seems like they are constantly drafting front 7 guys and still searching other than a couple hits?
  4. Don't get me wrong, not advocating for this & I can't see this happening; but they were all on board for the Bengals most recent "success" if I'm not mistaken; and Mikey may think this is his path back to a first round playoff loss? Guess you missed the above? Again, not saying this is logical; but this is Mike Brown's Bengals we're discussing!!
  5. Just heard something on SNF about the NFL coaching changes, and they mentioned a couple already sent packing & a couple pending (nothing on the Who-Deys); but what caught my ear was a rumored parting between Zimmer & Minny (either resignation or firing)? That could be interesting if he becomes available? Jim to head job, Hue back to OC and Marvin taking over the D? Don't get me wrong, not advocating for this & I can't see this happening; but they were all on board for the Bengals most recent "success" if I'm not mistaken; and Mikey may think this is his path back to a first round playoff loss?
  6. Hey, at least I did hear the Marvin's led the league in false starts--Little wins!
  7. What happened with the two committed kids from the Iowa Junior College that were supposed to sign yesterday--Did they ever sign?
  8. That's because a "road game" at PBS is really like a home game for the Steelers--Lots of yellow & black & Terrible Towels!
  9. Feel for the players today, as they at least played with some heart. Genius Marvin chasing points early in the game & a bad call cost them a winnable game. Typical NFL "Trap Game" by Chargers. Most undisciplined team in the league reflects how poorly they prepare each week.
  10. I'm certainly not naive enough to think my comments (or yours) to change anything Mike Brown does, or doesn't do. He operates in a protective bubble, shielded by the NFL's TV package. Just pointing out the obvious, that it's fruitless to keep giving money to the Bengals and reward them for their average product? I chose to speak with my wallet, and if he'd move the team, I'd be over the moon happy for the city! It would however, do my heart good to watch them playing in an empty stadium one game!!
  11. Finally filed for divorce last year when they rehired Marvin--Just too frustrating to waste my time & money on. Finally gave up my tickets two years ago, as it just wasn't any fun anymore, regardless of the game outcome? PS: Marvin with another worthless challenge.
  12. Quite a pass D they've dialed up? Making Mayfield look like.........pick your HOF QB.
  13. Keep giving Mikey your money and he'll keep giving you this product. As Sumo said, "We've seen this season, many times before"!! Groundhog Day again!!
  14. BTW--Really good to see the way the D responded with the genius Mavin calling the plays today! New QB, making his first NFL start, who had a knock coming in as a great athlete, but lacked pro passing skills; let's play straight up pass oriented D and force the run--Worked out quite well didn't it?? Can only imagine what he'll dial up for Cleveland next week with Hue's help?
  15. Interesting take that the Bengals' woes are due to Eifert's absence? While a big Effect fan from the beginning, if he's the key to victory, then the Who-Deys are in deep do-do. He's just cursed physically, like it or not. But seriously, the Bengals problems are far deeper; and if you don't include front office & coaching in those discussions, then you're way off track & seriously need to look at your brand of Kool-Aid. ALL NFL teams deal with injuries and sometimes they can't overcome them; but to blame their lack of success on a consistently injured tight end is somewhat comical?? Love the playoff scenarios being discussed, but what would make one think IF they make the playoffs it would last longer than one game (see 15 year history of Coach Lewis)? Reason I gave up on this franchise was the inability (or downright stubbornness) of the front office to change by bringing back the hugely underachieving Marvin Lewis again. My condolences to all of you fans that continue to give your money & allegiance to Mike Brown & Company; but I'll continue to move forward and enjoy the sheer look of happiness I see on the face of Andrew Whitworth every week when I watch the Rams lay each week. After standing up for Mikey & his minions' antics for years, and being the only real spokesperson for them; he really deserves to go out a winner with his head high!! Hope Mikey buys another thousand trench coats with what he saved by letting him go??
  16. Great idea, but I think you're forgetting who runs this franchise? Expect more of the same, as the Bengals "Stay the course". Happier every game that I gave up my tickets two years ago!! Marvin & Mike team up forever!!
  17. The "Marvin Effect"!! Been watching it for 16 years now.
  18. He's rapidly looking like one of the old Bengals' legendary first round busts. He flat quit on the interception!
  19. I really don't understand what a defender is supposed to do when they tackle a guy straight on in the front of the body? Are they supposed to somehow magically "spin the QB" as they fall to avoid landing on them--Hard to defy gravity??
  20. That call was horrendous, and the NFL seems to be doing all it can to kill the product; both on the field & off. Really sad to watch a great product poisoned by horrible & inconsistent officiating, unexplainable & understandable rules, outside distractions, etc.
  21. If Hagens reclassifies as expected it may be hard to keep him out of the starting lineup, given his stellar play & athletic ability at both ends of the court? Think Montgomery will be right there as well; but what a great problem to have for Cal!!
  22. Cavs simply lacks the offensive firepower to beat either Houston or GState; both of which you need to outscore to defeat. Impressive series by LeBron, but equally impressive feat by the Celtics without arguably their two best players to get this far.
  23. Scanned this thread & have one question for those who carry no cash--What do you use to tip? Not talking the obvious such as restaurants, cabs, Uber; but as one who travels a lot--Valets, Parking, Shuttle drivers, etc.?? Or do you just stiff those folks??
  24. Isn't some version of that Marvin's standard answer for virtually every question? We've got to play better, we've got to scheme better, we've got to draft better, players are fine they just need to play better, etc.?? :idunno::dead horse:
