  1. Mason also lost Queen who done a nice job for them in the post. I think she held Tibbs to 7 rebounds in their first match up this past season. I think they it will be hard for them to replace the post play.
  2. Congratulations to Lady Panthers and Coaching Staff on this win!!! Good Luck in the 16th Region. :dancingpa
  3. If you are referring to Klee having an obvious advantage over Queen, I think you are wrong. Queen kept Klee off the boards and had a couple blocks on Klee. If you are referring to Klee having an obvious advantage over K. Menke who guarded Klee when Queen was out of the game, I don't think anything was going to happen there either. The Lady Royals just played a better all round game.
  4. This game is also like a road game to the Lady Royals. I think they have only played in this gym one other time this season. They don't practice in this gym even when they have a game coming up in it. If the regional tournament is played in this gym it won't be any more of an advantage to them than any of the other teams.
  5. In no particular order: Tibbs from Scott, Jehlik from Montgomery, Menke and Queen from Mason they have both played well this summer. They are both getting college looks. Anne Klee from St. Pat.
  6. I heard she was playing for Lakota West in Ohio this year.
  7. I think if you reread my post you will see I said Beth Queen played the post position last year until injured. I am aware Butler played the point guard position. Keller Menke played the guard position last year. You stated that she couldn't play point because she was needed in the post position. I was just pointing out that she was not the post player last season and probably would not be this season.
  8. Keller Menke didn't play the post position last year, Beth Queen played the post position and was injured. I hear Queen plays the guard position on her AAU team. How has she been playing this summer? How did they finish at EKU?
  9. In the Louisville camp they did play some tough competition such as Bullit East and a very athletic team from St. Louis, as well as a team called Bosse from Evansville Indian.
  10. I don't think this problem is going to be fixed in one or two years. I believe if they have to bring some eight graders or freshmen up to make a varsity team they should if they don't have enough to make up a varsity and JV team they should not have a JV team and play the girls closer to their own age level. This could help the girls stay interested in playing and eventually they will have numbers of girls playing again. Most of the girls that have quit are girls that played JV ball last year. I don't think it matters who they have as a coach this is not something that is going to be easily fixed.
  11. In a lot of Mason County's games the Queen girl plays off her person and helps to protect the paint from players driving to the basket. I think this was missing in this game. I agree that Mason's point guard Butler has a great future. She is growing each time out.
  12. The score on this one at half time was 28 13. Mason made a good come back. Queen played and had 4 points in the first half. Don't know if she had any points in the second half. These young girls are going to do great things.
  13. Does anyone have stats for this game?
  14. These girls mostly have no varsity experience. I think they are doing well to be as close as they have been in games. They will only get better.
  15. How many girls on Mason County's team played at the varsity level last year? How much did they play?
  16. I didn't go to the game but listened. Could the junior Beth Queen be a starter from this age group?
  17. The outcome of this game depends a lot on the players that Mason County plays. The younger players playing at the first year varsity level will have a tough time with Bracken County varsity playing experience.
  18. Not sure what the scores were. Henry Clay won 2 quarters and Mason won 2 quarters.
  19. You can't determine what some of these girls can do just based on this year. They are young and a lot depends on how hard they work in the off season.
  20. The bucket the Queen girl hit was a big bucket in the ballgame. Mason County also got the rebounds on the missed Free Throws by SK.
  21. Does anyone know the total fouls that each team had?
  22. This is a tournament with a final championship game.
