Final from last night in Alexandria. It went down to the wire. Mason made a shot to tie it, but then Brossart went the length of the floor to score a basket as time expired. Sanker led all scorers with 35 points.

Sanker was great.

I was at the game and I do not understand why Mason did not do a better job on Sanker. I know she is a good player, but come on.

Sanker has 36 and 30 were from layups. She blew by her defender at will and no adjustments from Mason County.

Mason has some great young talent. I would be interested in hearing from some Mason fans. One player should not beat any team. Sanker beat Mason almost by herself.

Who was guarding Sanker?

Who was guarding Sanker?

Apparently nobody.

Apparently nobody.

Haha, true.

I think both of their guards took a stab at it. It was something to watch.

The point guard at Mason has a big future. I think she is a 7th grader.

She will be very good. Handled ther ball well and played under control.

I respect that Mason likes to man up but it really was not working for them.

Gillespie coaching them.

In a lot of Mason County's games the Queen girl plays off her person and helps to protect the paint from players driving to the basket. I think this was missing in this game. I agree that Mason's point guard Butler has a great future. She is growing each time out.

She's going to be the star in a couple of years. She's the real deal. She knows her role is to handle the ball right now, but she can score when she needs to as well.
