  1. Not an apples to apples comparison. Is there a better bowl berth with a win at Louisville on the line? In state rivalry on the line can you afford to do that?
  2. It was the right thing to do and don't blame Stoops. No disrespect to Austin Peay but facts are facts, they are not very good and if i can heal up my starting QB I do it.
  3. He was hurt..They tried to rest him and couldn't, end of story. Zoom in on the knee brace that was never there all season. He is tough as there is.
  4. Could have not been more proud of the Bearcats effort in this one. This is a young team and the potential for them next year is great! Holding Abernathy and Barnes to under 100 yards apiece is quite the feat for these young Bearcats!
  5. I feel ya but I am not making the point they should or shouldn't be a dark horse. I am making the point it is hard to say Owen is the favorite to win a district when they have been beaten by two teams WV has badly beaten. The three teams that have beaten WV are all top five teams in 2A. They have played nobody close to the top of 2A.
  6. Hmm. This makes no sense at all. Walton Verona destroys Henry County 29-0 and beat Grant by a ton in preseason. How is Henry stronger than WV and Grant also beat Owen????Have to explain this befuddling logic to me.
  7. WV players are young and figuring out the difference from middle school and JV football to varsity. Playing with good fundamentals and knowing your role within the offense/defense.
  8. Respectfully disagree here. This game will be won in the trenches.
  9. This was never a competitive game. Grant could not move the ball and scored in the 4th when JV was in. WV offense started slow it picked it up as they went. D was in shut down mode. Still alot to work on for the young Bearcats.
  10. Walton is very young and talented this year so they are going to be learning on the fly. This is a tough first game for them.
  11. Yeah you can't look at situations in a vacuum. The talent as I said time and time again was not good enough to be mid level MAC school when he arrived. The building was a 5 to 6 year process under perfect circumstances to start being competitive. The money put into the program will start paying off about the same point. Is he a good recruiter, I say yes. Is he a good HC, I say the jury is still out on that. Good point about adjustments particularly on the offensive side of the ball. I think that will change with the offensive staff. Nobody likes to hear it is a 5 year process and want instant success but that's not realistic.
  12. As talented a group as I have seen at WV but young.
  13. Don't disagree with any of this but the administration since Stoops arrival has done it's part. The Jimmy and Joe's aspect is where it is at now.
  14. That doesn't answer my question. What else does the administration have to do? The minute Stoops walked through the door this was going to be 5 or 6 year process to get to be competitive if everything went right. Everything did not go right but what else does the administration have to do that they have not done?
  15. Huh? Administration renovated the stadium and are building a football training facility that is first class I don't see that they are the problem.
  16. Consistency has been key for UK offensive lineman Mosier | Lexington Herald-Leader
  17. The Bearcats should be better this year.Key is going to be line play on both sides. Offensively they need to move people better this year and defensively they need to occupy blockers and let the Lb's play free.
