  1. Congrats to Walton Verona's own Travis Brauer! Nobody out works him on and off the field. Two way player who played on both sides of the ball well.
  2. I watched the play several times on video and it was the correct call. This post nails it.
  3. Wow, not a player from Walton Verona on the list and they had the district player of the year at QB/DB. They made the regional final largely on his shoulders as well. Travis Brauer should be on this list!
  4. Breathitt is a good football team but not in the level of Somerset and Mayfield. WV never punted and moved the football at will. I don't think Breathitt can stop Somerset and I would be surprised if this is close.
  5. WV needed to play a clean game and they did not. 5 Turnovers and special teams problems all night. Not the "A" game that they needed to win. Breathitt is a good football team but if Somerset is at LCA level or above then I favor Somerset by 3 or 4 scores. No disrespect to them.
  6. Tough to predict the young Bearcats and how they will respond. They have played well at times and at times you can't figure out why they played the way they did. Breathitt is a good football team but if WV plays a complete game they can pull this one out.
  7. NCC better stop the run because LHC is for real. LHC stopping the pass is where they are weakest.
  8. Shades of Glasgow from last year here with most not giving WV a chance. I have seen both teams play and I know one thing, that is WV will be the best team Breathitt has played.
  9. Good win for the Bearcat's in district play. They appear to be getting some much need starters back from injuries. Hopefully in time for the playoffs!
  10. Final. Walton gets back on track to start district play. Showdown with Carroll County next week at the Bearcat Den.
  11. They are a very good football team with multiple threats to guard against on defense. Their quarterback was by far the best WV had seen and so was their receiving corp. They were also efficient on defense with a bend but don't break mentality. Bearcats are a little injury depleted and young to keep up at this point. They need to zero in on district play and maybe get a few players back by playoffs to be in better position.
  12. So much for an "easy" game for NCC. Both teams play hard.
  13. Walton keeps under the radar with a good win over 5A North Lauriel. Young Bearcats are showing signs of picking it up. Good test this week NCC this week.
  14. Nice win for the young Bearcats who lurched forward but still have work to do.
  15. They did not play last year but they did scrimmage. Walton handled them in that scrimmage. Walton has just 4 returning starters and is going to have some growing pains this year.
  16. Walton just too young and inexperienced tonight. Lloyd was good and well schooled.
  17. Question here is how far have the young Bearcats come. So far they have been playing well in the scrimmages but have made some rookie mistakes along the way that will be fatal if they repeat them against Lloyd.
  18. Not sure but that maybe too high as well. This team is young and need lots of improvement. Talent level and effort are there but need to grow up fast.
  19. Looking to fill Qb position and some spots on the O-line. Talented group and seems to be working hard. Maybe a surprise group that is better than some thought they would be.
