  1. I think the toughest positions to be recognized in are the D-linemen. The really good ones draw double teams almost every play and in alot of cases, especially against district opponents that know each other very well, the offence will run away from them for an entire game. These things hurt numbers for D-linemen but should be considered when they are evaluated.
  2. We had our banquet last night and I don't think anybody knows anything yet. The guy's in charge will make the right decision, taking some time isn't always a bad thing.
  3. He played tough all game, his injury came late in the game when KY. was churning out first downs. I hope he heels up quick.
  4. I don't totaly disagree, the Kentucky team was very dominant in the second half, I'm just trying to take up for my boy a little bit. I wish the best for everybody that played, and their families.
  5. I don't think domination from start to finish is a gook discription of the game. The turnovers hurt the GL team a little more because one was returned for a touchdown, and the others put them in pretty poor field position. The big difference to me was the mere size difference on the O and D lines. The Kentucky team took better care of the ball and ran the ball more effetivley once they got the lead, but the score was 8 to 6 at half time.
  6. I can't speak for anyone else but my family and I enjoyed the format. It was sort of made out to be a UofL versus UK type deal right down to the colors. Yes the Kentucky team had a larger base to chose from I guess but it looked to me like most of the kids had a lot of fun. I know I did. And as for the weather you know in Kentucky it very easily could have been 60 degrees yesterday, that was just the luck of the draw.
  7. It was an awesome experience. Although my side lost, it was a great game, the 600 that did show got to watch a bunch of really good football players , many of whom will be playing at a very high level next year. I think our state should be very proud of the young men we turned out this year.
  8. They must have made the arrangement because of the cold weather, last night they practiced at Atherton.
  9. The best thing I can think of is for the less succesfull schools to emulate the programs at the top as much as possible. Whatever they are doing seems to be working. The big dogs are going to be the big dogs no matter how many classes there are.
  10. I think UofL would have to be represented because the Louisville team is practicing at Papa Johns
  11. There are a bunch of kids on these teams that have already committed and a bunch that are being heavily recruited by some big names.
  12. The only real disadvantage PT has is the trip to Louisville, but they have already shown they can handle that by beating LHC at home. This should be a great game with a lot of big plays from a lot of big time players. These guys are the kind of programs we would all like to have.
  13. There is no problem with Coach Ledford's coaching ability. I feel honored that my son played for him, and feel like he is my kind of old school football man. The deal is he doesn't make much effort to be polliticly correct, wich in this day and time can cause a lot of problems. I say again, not with me, I love the guy.
  14. I don't know why but I just realized this game is at North, thats something I should have known since that's the position Henry was hoping for.
  15. I feel like North has a very good chance in this game. They have had a couple of great breaks early, wich they deserve by winning the district. If they don't try to get too fancy, and I doubt they will, and just play their game, they can win. You can never rest against Central, you think your in the game and they put you right back out again.
  16. I've been impressed with LHC all year, don't know a thing about Mayfield other than what I've read, sounds like they have an awesome team, but I can't imagine this game being a runaway in either direction.
  17. North has had a great team effort from what I'v seen. That's a goal that everyone strives for and few achieve, hopefully it will continue through the playoffs.
  18. Have not heard anything yet exept none of the current coaches plan on returning, and that is just hearsay.
  19. I want to say that I realize that every coach thats been at HC since my boys have played have been great and have had my support. I know that each has believed in their systems and expected nothing but success. I dont't pretend to know more than any of them as far as systems, I just know what I like to watch as a fan. I no longer have a dog in the hunt as they say but I will always love and support my wildcats.
  20. The past few years I think we would have been succesfull with any system, it's the short yardage situations that require power that I personally feel like it limits you in. Congrats to Moore, they earned the victory.
  21. If anybody ever comes to your program and mentions the franklin system run them out of town imediatly.
  22. Looks like they like to pass alot with most of the running plays being QB draws and the like.
  23. If the defense continues to improve against the run HC should be hard to handle. Hopefully we won't come out with any more bloopers.
  24. They use an online system called huddle.com. The coaches evidently download or something of that nature. I'm not real computer savy but I saw the film so I know they have it.
