Blue Tornado or Yellow Jacket?

Featured Replies

Last year BT took out YJ 24 to 21 in Paducah. This year BT travels to The Ville to take on YJ. Does six loss Central have enough to get revenge on Tilghman or will it be #7 in the loss column for the Jackets?

I think that Central gets the win. And goes to the state title game with 6 losses. JMO

This one'll be fun. Impressed by the overall team speed of Central, and Wales is a tough one to catch - doesn't need much room to turn a little gain into a TD. Not sure Central is really a threat through the air - but when you have a runner like Wales, who needs a passing game??? LOL Biggest concern for Central may well be its youth.

PT has really come on, as I expected, winning ten in a row. The Blue Tornado is the defending champ, and they have a lot of returnees from last year's team. It's an experienced group of veterans that showed their moxie in a very trying game last week vs. Russellville.

Game will be broadcast on the Pegasus Sports Network, beginning at 7 pm.

This is going to be the state track meet....both teams have players who are FAST, FAST, FAST.

They represent the last three Class 3A championships....

Tilghman is the fourth-winningest program in the state of Kentucky...

Central plays arguably the toughest 3A schedule in the state...and has for a long, long time....regularly playing, and often defeating, 4A, 5A, and 6A powers. 6A Lafayette tumbled this year against 3A Central...

Going to enjoy calling this one.

They have also combined to win nine of the last 10 titles in track in Class 2A. Tilghman won eight in a row from 2001-08 ... Central won it this past year.

There is no "arguably" about it ...

If this Central team is close to being as good as the 2008 team...I will take the Yellow Jackets...

It'll be interesting....neither team wants to fall behind by much in this track meet...

Central will need to cut down on the penalties they struggled with against North Oldham last week...

I think PT can't afford to score just 17 points (like they did against Russellville) and hope to win this one...

The only real disadvantage PT has is the trip to Louisville, but they have already shown they can handle that by beating LHC at home. This should be a great game with a lot of big plays from a lot of big time players. These guys are the kind of programs we would all like to have.
