  1. I disagree with the depth problem at Holy Cross. They may not win this game, but they seem to have better numbers than alot of bigger schools and they have several kids that just play one way.
  2. The Coaches are fine and will make the right moves to get the kids focused.
  3. I could be wrong, but I dont't think there is one private school in the 3A class. I guess that makes it the only true public school class in the state.
  4. Thanks for the complament, I would be suprised if you guys don't have a great season.
  5. I don't know why they would be a sleeper because they are obviously very good all around, but if there is any validity to the class system at all it should not have been a 30 point game. I hope and pray my expectations for my team are not as far off as this game made them feel, and on the other hand I realize this is the first game of the season and we are still one very talented player short. I certainly am not throwing in the towel and I know the Wildcats won't either.
  6. It wasn't a coaching thing as much as it was very poor execution. I realize proper execution is taught by coaches, but they can't go on the field and make the plays. Dropped passes by the boatloads, missed tackles, every fundamental mistake you don't expect veteran players to make seemed to be common. I never expected to see these guys get beat physicaly as bad as they did either, but LHC beat them down pretty bad.
  7. Congrats to South, I bet they feel great this morning.
  8. Holy Cross dominated the entire game after the first quarter, Henry had such a sorry performance it was almost sickening. If we don't make a lot of adjustments and improve our attitude we won't beat anybody.
  9. They were short two senior lineman that are a big part of the D and O line, they get one back tonight.
  10. From what I have been able to find out about Holy Cross, they share alot of the same strengths, mainly on the line. Henry runs a spread almost exclusivley out of the shotgun.
  11. I would say they intended on winning, they did go to the bone late and were not trying hard to score, but they just didn't seem to be overly athletic as a team to me.
  12. I know very little about Conner but wasn't terribly impressed with Oldham in their when over Henry in our srimmage. They do have an awesome punter and they controled the line of scrimmage for the mast part. I misjudged OC last year based on the same scrimmage, but I'm going with Conner on this one.
  13. I can still see the smiles on the faces of my teamates after a big play, and hear their laughter.
  14. Absolutely great fun and awesome personal satisfaction.
  15. Camp starts Monday, the Friday night lights aren't far off now.
  16. Henry County should come back strong this year, we have several all district players returning with virtualy no coaching change. This may be the smartest bunch of kids football wise I've ever seen at HC and Coach J has been with most of them since they started in youth league. I'm looking foward to a huge season for the Wildcats.
  17. I think things may work out better this way as well. A blessing in disguise.
  18. We think alot of Coach Ledford as well and I for one am very glad to have him in any capacity.
  19. Don't feel too bad for Henry County the man they hired is very high quality and if deserve has anything to do with it he certainly does.
  20. Those stats should be posted on every lockeroom wall in KY. and in a hand out given to every parent.
  21. I think some credit has to be given to kids who chose to keep playing at a higher level at non athletic shcolarship schools. They play some pretty good football and their love for the game makes academic success a little tougher as well.
  22. Good enough is a level never reached personally by most great football players at any level, that's what makes them good enough.
