Thanks to the PMs... I was told that Heidelberg College is having success getting kids from KY this year. I hear that Ryle, Mason County has some kids interested in the school. Isn't the head coach at Heidelberg the previous coach from Thomas Moore? -very nice school- good choice-supportive community

Talking with Travis, late last year, he told me that BYU invited him to walk on. Also heard through other small talk that KState was possibly interested in Zach Stevens, don't know that for sure. With his speed, I wouldn't be suprised to see him get a Track Scholarship.

Paris has some good football players in their 2008 Senior Class; Travis Angel Des Henson Zach Klimper Jeremy Shupe Zach Stevens Any word on any of them going anywhere to play on the next level? I am curious as to what their plans are.

They have any applicants?

I think coach summed it up last year with his statement of Championship being so far removed from the sidelines. It will take time to rebuild. So my advice for the Paris Faithful is to "mulitply and replinish the Paris district"! :lol:

They will still have a lot of their speed. They will need to bulk up on the line and the underclassmen will have to step up in doing so. Also, they need to find gold in a quarterback. They are young, but are heading in the right direction.

I think had Paris made their free throws in the final minutes of the game, it would've been a different outcome. They still played hard, and played a very good LCA team "close". Paris had the lead a few times. They have nothing to be ashamed of, they played good. :thumb:

Paris' Lady Seniors really pulled together today and showed a lot of heart. I really hope they do even better tomorrow against LCA. :dancingpa

Paris beat a very good CUmberland team today, and advances to the finals on Sunday. We love our Lady Hounds, and don't care how many points they score, they are winning, and their D is tough. Good Luck to Coach Brooks and his Lady Hounds!!

Yes from what I hear the kids are getting accustomed to the new coach. I hear he is having a good turnout in the weight-room. Who or what, I don't know, but I just have been told by several of my friends that he has a lot of exciment building down at the fieldhouse. I hate the long trips to Ashland, 2x a season is way too much! :sleep: makes old people like me tired. :lol:

I am curious as to how Paris will look this season. I know the new coach is working hard with the guys. They also lost some good seniors. Angel, Henson, Stevens, Klimper, Shupe... All but Stevens was playing line for Paris. Actually Henson was the only one playing in position (referring to lineman). The other three were definetely out of position (imo). They will return Tiion Thomas, and should have a nice size junior class. I am curious to see who will be their qb? They struggled with this key position this past season, after they received the blow of losing senior starting qb Tavione Fields. I agree with what someone said that Nicholas will have a hard time replacing Mattox. I still look for Raceland and LCA to be battling it out in the district. Keep us posted Ram!

Great game! I look for the these same two teams to be battling this out again next year.

I will agree with all said about both programs. Beechwood always has a good program. LCA is building that. Both have great coaches and great players. Good luck to everyone hope there are no serious injuries. But like Paris Pride and OldRambler, I am pulling for our district. LCA is pulling the upsets thus far!:thumb:

It was only a joke. If you only knew how many people I have heard say that Beechwood is a private school (actually thinking they are a private school) ! Inside joke that's all.
