But Paris did loose a major piece of the team to Fayette County this past season. So they one uped us.

Okay, well, Coach Thompson is now a thing of the past, we have to move forward and get a new coach... I'd say right now they are communicating with interested people(s). Maybe they found out about BGPs and read what all we are saying and are getting the move on so they can have Spring Practice? What are the odds?

I just hope PHS can get something together for Spring Practice, and keep their weight program going. Coach Thompson did a good job getting the winter program going and I don't know many that can survive his summer practices either.

Yeah we are going to miss him. He was enteraining to watch at games and practice as well! :lol:

Good observation. I stated earlier too that the feeder program(s) look really good, and compete really well. I would love to answer Option Right's question, but like Paris Pride stated, that would have to go to another forum. I myself only scratched the surface with my frustrations. But will say it again... Parents have to get involved and make a stand. And that takes more then two or three, it takes a group effort. My understanding is that the principal is retiring in two years. That would be a good start for the high school. (imo)

And I do believe all have at one time/were appointed. No one runs for it anymore. Besides school board has no say so with the principal. She is quick to point that out to them.

Oh and another mistake I need to list, and probably by the same person that hired the elementary music teacher to be the HS principal; and that mistake is, they let Randy Reese go. Coach Reese could've stayed on and been the principal. He was already doing wonderful things with the discipline at the middle school....

That is true. And I have nothing against the band, I think they help with the spirit at the ball games, but in our case; we can't get the band to stay after the half-time show. It is not the band we dislike, I actually enjoy listening to them, and in their own world, that is hard work for them.... So like you say, and lead to, sounds like Paris once again will not be having Spring Practice. But I don't think that matters to the adm. they wouldn't understand that or know how important that is.

NO CLUE... I only know of one assistant that would maybe consider. I have ideas of who would make a great coach, but I doubt he would do it. He is one of or prob. the best QB that walked the halls at PHS.

The band never makes it past qrtr. finals. Their parents are dedicated and to tell you the truth I wouldn't do what they do, well maybe because I wouldn't do that for band, but then again I never had kids in the band? Football doesn't even get to do split the pot at football games! That is for academic team or chess team or something like that?

As you know my emotions are running high on this subject. Just about everything you have read is true. It is way way past due to "clean house" at Paris. Whoever brought her out of the music room at the elementary and made her high school principal needs to be hung. This same principal, does not stay past half-time, nor does the band. And I have NEVER known her to attend an away game. Maybe Bourbon County game. It's time for Paris parents and "$upportor$" to come out and make a stand. Now one more thing I have to add. And I will say it again and again.... Paris Alumni have to give back. With the way Paris is growing, most growth is in the BC school district, and most of the kids go there. And before anyone asks me, what have I done. Don't go there. But I am only one person. And if that is the way it is going to be, then stick a fork in me, I'm done. Can't do it alone. I don't know all reasons why Coach T is leaving, but I wish him the best of luck. It was nice knowing him.:thumb:

I was told that he is going to be a Head Coach and a teacher in Central Florida.

I wish I knew more... but I do know that will have big shoes to fill with their QB. They always seem to have some nice size on the line.
