March 3, 201214 yr Author I've heard of pennies from heaven, but come on! Sometimes a little levity is needed during such horrible situations as these storms. Sure hope no one is offended. :lol: My wife was making fun of me until I explained to her that I was taking the picture to turn in with my report to the National Weather Service. I'm trained spotter with them and they provide us with a special web site to report on storms.
March 3, 201214 yr Author I would like to thank nWo for the many weather forecasts he posts during the year. My prayers go out to the communities that have been affected by the terrible weather today. Lives have been lost and home have been destroyed. nWo I always read your posts on the weather and greatly appreciate them. You're welcome and thanks for the compliments. I just wished I could've done something to save those that were lost. That is my driving force for doing the reports.

As for that distance NWO it's probably 100 or so miles apart.

March 3, 201214 yr Author I think a school in Henryville took a direct hit. I saw on CNN that it tore a school bus cab completely off of its chassis.

March 3, 201214 yr My son found this bankslip in our backyard in Hebron KY. I looked this bank up and they do have a branch in Henrysville IN. Anyone know if that bank was destroyed or damaged?
March 3, 201214 yr When All this was happening My wife and I were in a Movie ( The Secret Life of Arriety ) at the AMC Theaters Newport On The Levee . The date night tradition lived on .
March 3, 201214 yr I live in Charlestown Indiana which is about 7 miles from Henryville and just a few miles from the other two towns that was completely destroyed..Chelsa and Marysville. I spent the entire afternoon in a friends basement worrying about my husband who was in a direct line for a hit and for one of my best friends who lives in Henryville. Both my husband and my friend were okay. My friends house did not have a lot of damage and her car was damaged quite a bit from hail. All of these towns are just sweet little towns with some sweet people who live in them. It broke my heart to listen to what was happening and to see the damage after the storm. I spent most of yesterday praying and crying and feeling so very blessed that no more people died than did. I pray for their families and I pray that the clean up will be quick so these fine hard working people can get back to their lives. My husband and I spent quite a lot of time traveling the backroads and taking picture of this beautiful countryside and it makes my heart sad to know that it has taken such a hard hit. Please continue to pray for all the families that were involved and for all the people who are out there helping put their lives back together.
