January 11, 201214 yr Author Just read a CBS writer's Top 10 for next season. 1.LSU 2.USC 3.Georgia 4.Alabama 5.Oregon 6.South Carolina 8.Arkansas Sounds about right to me with possible exception to South Carolina.

January 12, 201214 yr I am pulling for Arkansas next year. I find myself really liking them. Arkansas vs Oregon. My dream match up for next year.
January 12, 201214 yr Author I think Ohio State will be in the hunt after a couple years with Meyer. I think they will, it's going to take him a little more time than it did while he was at Florida though.
January 12, 201214 yr I think they will, it's going to take him a little more time than it did while he was at Florida though.I do not think it will. I say they are in the hunt year after next.
January 12, 201214 yr I also thought USC. LSU needs a QB, and we lose too many guys on defense and really offense too. All Kickers return. We will score more next year but it also depends on how many Juniors we have turn Pro. Wisconsin might be really good and someone said the Ducks. This was Wisconsin's year to really do something with having the best QB they have had in a long time if ever. Next year they go back to having someone at the position just trying to be a game manager and not a big playmaker like Wilson was this year. Also losing their top OL to the NFL. Ball is back but they wont be as good next season.
January 13, 201214 yr Good Point, I couldn't remember Wilson, I thought he had one more year. We had three juniors say today they are leaving for the NFL, and we are OK with it, two might be first rounders and Hightower is projected 3rd ILB. This was no surprise, but were kinda hoping.

What ILB's could possibly be better than Hightower? He is a flat out stud.
January 14, 201214 yr Author What ILB's could possibly be better than Hightower? He is a flat out stud. I agree, there's not anyone else I can think of who's better.
January 16, 201214 yr Author Take Oregon off the list. Darron Thomas is going pro. USC vs. the SEC. No doubt, I'm still kind of surprised that Thomas is leaving.
January 16, 201214 yr No doubt, I'm still kind of surprised that Thomas is leaving. I'm disappointed. He could have used next year to improve his draft stock. He's in alot of trouble in the league. He doesn't like to run the ball so its not like he could be used as a Brad Smith type and I don't think he's polished enough to play QB in the league. Someone will draft him and hope he's another Seneca Wallace a guy that could some in for half a game or two and keepthe status quo.
January 8, 201313 yr Author I figured it was a good time to bring this thread back up again. Obviously it is not the season that just finished. Between Alabama being as good and young as they are overall, the rising of Texas A&M, and more with other teams in the conference, I feel pretty confident in saying that a team outside of the SEC won't do it next season.
January 8, 201313 yr I heard that a non SEC school might win one in 2050 based on a astronomical alignment that is predicted  I stand by my original quote !
January 8, 201313 yr And to think James Quick tweeted before last night's BCS Championship game that the SEC was overrated... And I know UL beat Florida... But the upper echelon of SEC is on a completely different level and Bama showed that last night. Back to the thread, I'll predict the national title game during the upcoming 4 team playoff will include 2 SEC teams at least the 1st 2 years, maybe longer.
