January 10, 201214 yr Oregon or USC will next year IMO. Everyone in the SEC will not be as good, with the possible exception of LSU. Arky would be a trendy pick in the SEC if they had some of those WRs coming back. Bama will be good, but needs to retool a little bit. UGA and USCe are what they are. UF is down. Do they not play in the regular season next year? I know the SEC dominance will someday come to an end, but I sure hope not...As a UK fan, I have always rallied around SEC football...

January 10, 201214 yr CCC mis read your quote...I thought you were predicting Oregon vs USC.. :thumb:
January 10, 201214 yr Bama and LSU have to be the early favorites next year. With USC, OU, and Ok St behind them. OK State loses at QB and WR (Blackmon).
January 10, 201214 yr Georgia is supposed to be pretty good next year, IF players don't go pro. But if they start slow again they won't be in the picture.
January 10, 201214 yr Author If Georgia loses little to no players in the draft, I look for them to be tough next season. Other than them, I think LSU is going to be equally as good as they were and as of now are my pick to be the next national champion.
January 10, 201214 yr Just read a CBS writer's Top 10 for next season. 1.LSU 2.USC 3.Georgia 4.Alabama 5.Oregon 6.South Carolina 8.Arkansas

UF is down.I have thought this same thing on a couple different occasions but they have somehow managed to win this many titles in a row. It is one of the more remarkable streaks in sports. It is funny because last week on a show they were saying how top offensive talent is going to all places across the country. However, the SEC lands all the top shelf defensive talent. Boring, but not a coincidence as to why they have dominated.
January 10, 201214 yr I would give the early nod to USC. LSU will still be hampered at QB, but on defense they still have the Honey Badger and Mingo is a flat out freak of nature. I am with Cats that I believe it will be one of the Pac-10 powers. The streak is bound to end at some point.

Not sure how quickly a true freshman can make an impact, but they will have Gunner Kiel a 5-star prospect who is ranked #1 at his position by Rivals. Can't be any worse than Jefferson was last night.

Can't be any worse than Jefferson was last night. I don't think Mettenberger will be bad. I think Miles was really loyal to Jefferson. You could tell in the quotes last night. A trained monkey could do what Jefferson did last night, and probably better.
