January 20, 201214 yr WWII militaria. Mostly patches, medals & uniforms. 20 years ago I picked up the rarest item I have: a Medal of Honor made during WWII. I think that is pretty cool, how did you come to find one of those?
January 20, 201214 yr I have the coolest Star Wars collectables. A few lightsabers that were each a pretty penny. I have been lacking on my collection of graphic novels.

January 18, 201313 yr Ohh, a little of this, a little of that. Most notably I collect records and "breweriana". I like to think of my records as more of a library than a "collection" though. As for the breweriana (beer and brewery memorabilia), I mainly collect things pertinent to now-defunct greater Cincinnati breweries. I've got a particularly extensive collection of cork-back beer bottle crowns ("corkies"), and bottle openers. I've got a fair number of rare pre-prohibition era items. I had a handful of the Cincinnati brewery items appraised not too long ago. I've got to say...I was pleasantly surprised. The best was an old pre-prohibition Christian Moerlein bottle opener/gas key worth a little over $200. I had a few pre-prohibition cork-back beer crowns that came in around $25 a piece...which is pretty good for an old bottle cap.
January 18, 201313 yr Edison and Columbia cylinders. I bought an old Columbia wind-up phonograph about a year ago, and I've gotten to collecting some records for it. I'm working on getting a copy of every song Billie Holiday ever released on 78rpm. (I've got about 18 of them at current.) It's not so easy to find good 78's all the time, but a friend of mine that works at a record store just tipped me off a few weeks ago to a guy selling some really cool vintage 78's including the original recorded version of "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", sung by Harvey Hindermeyer (the record store doesn't buy 78's because of how much space they occupy in the store, and how little return there is on the real estate occupied by the records). Anyway, I bought the record off the guy for $15, and it sounds absolutely awesome.
January 18, 201313 yr I'm not a hardcore collector of anything. I too, have thousands and thousands of baseball/sports cards and sports memorabilia from my childhood and early adult hood. Haven't added anything to the collection in 7 or 8 years. I also have a collection of cigars, because I seem to buy a lot more than I smoke.
