January 9, 201214 yr I was tickled to death with the touchdown and the win. I was shuffling around and missed what all was being said about the change in OT rule. I thought it was said it was not sudden death. What was different? Supposedly, in the playoffs, the first overtime drive must be won by a touchdown, not a field goal. I hadn't heard that before, either.

I thought it was said it was not sudden death. What was different? Unless the team that gets the ball first scores on their first possession. So I guess if the Broncos hadn't scored and the Steelers didn't then the Broncos did, well then the Steelers would have gotten another chance as well. I think.

No. If a team scores in anyway after both teams have had a possession it's over.
January 9, 201214 yr What a game, would have been horrible if quick whistle on fumble had cost Broncos the game. Great game plan by Broncos today!!! BTW Tebow was pretty good today also!
January 9, 201214 yr Great win for Tebow and the Broncos. Not bad for a guy many say can't play in the NFL.
January 9, 201214 yr No. If a team scores in anyway after both teams have had a possession it's over. But you can win on the first possession, sure seems like sudden death to me.....
January 9, 201214 yr But you can win on the first possession, sure seems like sudden death to me..... You can win on the first possession if you score a TD. A FG and the other team gets a chance. It's half sudden death and half not.
