January 9, 201214 yr As banged up as the Steelers were, I'm thankful that the Broncos will go into Gillette Stadium this weekend. I think they have a better chance to beat NE than Pittsburgh would as they're currently formed. I am not buying that. Brady is going to get his fair share no matter what. The Steelers were able to control the game last time with short passes and keeping the Pats off the field. The Steelers would still have a better shot of doing that than Denver, imo. The only chance Denver has is they let Tebow throw the ball more. But again, look who he is throwing to. Matthew Willis?
January 9, 201214 yr Did anyone else see the tweet about the names of four referees yesterday being the same as four of the disciples? Haha! I saw ochocinco tweeted that yesterday. Not sure if that's who you saw as I'm sure there were others. I laughed about it and thought it was kind of ironic (if true). Then after the blown call on the backwards pass I tweeted back to ocho and said that can't be true.
January 9, 201214 yr Ocho tweet: #TebowDisciples Does anyone else find it odd that the officials in the Pitt/Den game are named Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John? Anyone else forget Ocho was still on a roster?

If there is a team the broncos can score at will against in the playoffs, it's the New England Patriots. Just look at the stats their pass and run defense have all been terrible this year. Until the Broncos started turning the ball over in the first meeting they were scoring at will.

They moved the ball fine until New England adjusted then they were stuck in mud. I still believe the Steelers with their experience and roster would provide a greater challenge.

Pouncey out, Ben virtually half as mobile, starting left tackle Starks out, no Mendenhall, the entire defensive starting line out, it's not remotely the same team that beat them in Pittsburgh. Denver can control the clock by running the ball against a porous defense in NE.

January 9, 201214 yr This is the most hilarious playoff score I can ever recall. Every time I see the score or hear someone talking about it, I start laughing. Sorry to those Pitt fans who aren't obnoxious, but there are so many Pitt fans I know that are just flat irritating that this score cracks me up. And to hear some of the excuse making I have heard for 20 years from Bengals fans now being used by Pittsburgh fans ... just totally hilarious. Watching Ben walk off that field shaking his head. And then Ben shows up at the post game presser in that goofy hat. I haven't laughed this much about a TV show since Seinfeld ended its run. Good ole 10-21 Tebow ... roll on brother.

January 9, 201214 yr That's one ugly hat,but it looks great on Big Ben. It is great watching Ben lose. I can't believe people still have problems with Vick and then stay silent about Ben Roethlisberger, the guy should be in a prison somewhere.

Got beat, fair and square.
January 9, 201214 yr What excuses? Got beat, fair and square. The injury thing is one. I realize it is legit. But it seems the really good teams overcome injuries and teams like the Bengals never do, so injuries are always an excuse used by Bengals fans over the years. It is funny hearing that from Pittsburgh fans regardless of how legit it is. You and a couple others are handling the loss very well, as I would expect. My gripe is those Pittsburgh fans who almost seem to enjoy rubbing it in on Bengals fans as much as they enjoy the Steelers' success. We hear a lot of them on sportstalk radio in Cincinnati. When I think about those fans and this game, that is when I start laughing again.
January 9, 201214 yr Injuries are part of it. Comes with the territory. Not an excuse, you line up with who you brought. Lots of guys down for the Steelers, but like you said, good teams overcome that. Packers did last year and won it all. If you're referring to my post above, I said with all the injuries the Steelers have, several of which happened in this game, that the Broncos would be a better opponent for NE than the Steelers. Not an excuse for the loss.
