April 3, 201214 yr The tone of this thread would be completely different if it was a male teacher and a female student. It is a double standard because we are talking about two different scenarios. But when it comes to female teachers/male student - unless mom found some phone textx form the teacher, then I'd imagine it is a male student who is jealous and heard the news, tried to get on, got shut down and calls himself being funny or cute or something and rats out the situation. If my son was to be caught up in a mess with his teacher, I would tell him to catch amnesia on the stand and when talking to detectives. Whatever. You kind of fulfilled a dream of every young man in high school. Call me whatever you want, but I promise if my son says he banged his teaccher, my reply is, "That's my boy." Whatever name you have for me, I accept it.
April 3, 201214 yr In a related note Arkansas now allows 18 yr olds to have sex with teachers. For 18 year olds. Now that I don't agree with. But I will say that when I was a frosh in high school, a senior football player was obviously dating a teacher. He was always with her, driving her car and all tyoes of stuff. It was so blatantly obvious that this teacher at best ha sa student too close to her, or in the worst was letting him hit it. Years later I saw our then AD whom went on to be a principal at another district (may he R.I.P). It was right about the time of mary Kay Laterneau. I brought up the mary Kay situation and said what would you do. He mentioned the situation at our former school and said the admin and teacher were a little nervous and other teachers were giving the female teacher crap about her relationship with the football player. I said to my former AD, "What you guys knew about that or thought they were messing around." He replied, "What? We were in the building with you guys. We saw what you guys saw. We couldn't prove anything, but we were very alarmed."

May 13, 201214 yr I have to admit I am jumping in on this thread and havent read everything but I did talk to a buddy this past week who is friends with someone who is heavily involved and from what he says they have tons of information on this girl. Apparently stacks of text print outs and she was pulling him out of his classes with other teachers saying he had to do some extra credit. Hmmmmm More than just extra credit I am sure. I think she is toast but everyone has their day in court.

In the report it was stated that the student she is alleged to have "been with" plans to testify on Ms. Jones behalf that nothing occurred. The student and his parents are supporting Ms. Jones defense.

However, only one student has been named as a victim in the case. One of the three is a name that we all know well here on BGP.

I remember high school pretty well myself, I even remember one time finding out that I had gotten a girl pregnant when I was in fact still a virgin. Just saying rumors happen and I won't buy in to any of it until everyone has given their testimony under oath.

I even heard that the day she returned from her honeymoon a student was texting with her and her husband saw it and that's why they were split up very shortly after that. I didn't hear that fom anyone connected with Dixie
