X/UC fight....

Featured Replies

Kilpatrick's comments were typical pre-game bravado and bluster. Not smart to say - only adds corkboard fodder and motivation for opponent - but hardly qualfies as suspendable language/conduct.

You chose to ignore some of the words.

Direct tweet from Shannon Russell the Xavier beat reporter after talking to Bobinski following the game.

Bobinksi expects that the A-10 will determine XU's punishment after reviews. He doesn't think XU will be punished within the team.

X fully planned to let A10 dictate punishment until backlash from comments by Mack and Bobinski made it impossible...

X is doing nothing to help their perception in this. The players, coach and AD have all been putrid in taking responsibility for what happened. Passing the buck to the conference to hand out punishment is pathetic.

Chris Mack.

"I'm not in a position to be a decision maker. We'll address the situation and see what our conference feels is necessary."

Sad...

Convenient you didn't quote your own post from yesterday.

Not saying he should be suspended for it. But him saying Tu couldn't start for UC kinda got it goin.

He directly said they would address the situation by seeing what the conference felt was necessary. Not we will take action and go from there. We will take action by following what they see fit...

You have to ignore what he said on that radio show. I mean would you want to say ya my opponent is better than my teammates? No, you always talk up your teammates and say you play with the best group of guys out there.

No. how about decline to answer the question or simply say we are happy with our guys as they are with theirs. There's alway a higher road. Finding some can find it. some cannot

Have you never followed sports of any sort and the bulletin board material that is made weekly?

That in no way should lead to Tu Holloway running his mouth then shoving a dude to start the brawl. I would be dissapointed in him if he said Tu would definitely start over ______ play for Cinci. You always support your team.

Look at the quote you quoted. That's not what he said. He said they'll address it and then see what the conference feels. The conference was cool with their decision.

Never. so glad you're here to help me...

OK/ Again just getting the feeling some of you think X was the most culpable in this event. If that's the way you see it, that's fine.

Nobody coming out of this smelling like a rose. Both universities had a chance to send a real message, and both failed miserably.

X is equally as culpable as UC if not more at the beginning. After it started UC was a lot worse. Fitzpatrick didn't start the altercation. Holloway running his mouth to the UC bench is the reason things flared up. Overall, UC is a lot worse in the grand scheme of things but Holloway ran his mouth to start it. And Wells' push was instrumental too.

Your hatred of UC is clouding your vision.

No question. Xavier and specifically Holloway instigated the situation to its boiling point and the way UC handled themselves when it did erupt was deplorable. Same goes for Lyons and Wells as they attacked a player on the UC bench as he was being restrained by the strength coach...
