You forgot to say "senior" QB. The best QB in the state is a junior. IMO

I can see that being the case. With their schedule, I can see the need to rest bodies and heal.

 

If I was a coach, I'd gladly have Towles or Wright as my QB. Both are exceptional.

 

Wright doesn't have what people consider to be D1 height, but the kid is an absolutely fantastic QB. Does all the "little" things to perfection. Great decision making; great playfakes; hides the ball extremely well; throws a very catchable ball; after he hands the ball off, he continues on to keep the D honest (I've seen way too many high school QBs hand the ball off and then stop and watch the play making it obvious who has the ball).

You know who coaches QBs at Trinbity, don't you? Oscar Brohm, the father of the aformentioned Brian Brohm and a starting QB himself for UL back in the day. He does an absolutley fabulous job with the QBs.

I'm not so sure that is always the case... in the last KY-TN all star game Trinity sent Petrino, Tylaska (sp), McDermott, & Spoelker. I think Will Stein played in one at PJCS too... maybe more.

I was told by one of the players on the KY at large team that the western Ky coaches arent giving anyone outside of western Ky much of a look or speaking to them. Any thoughts as to why?

Haven't seen all the rosters but I have to assume at least 1 of Trinity's O lineman made it? They were something else and were often overshadowed by the skill players. It would be a shame if they were shut out.

 

I agree, it's a shame. I think Moses himself would have a problem finding a way through Trinity's O-line. There's no doubt they enabled the skill players to shine their brightest. In fact, there are surprisingly few players from most of the 12 teams that made it to Bowling Green last weekend, but this is a good opportunity to recognize top players from other teams. These honors are nice to get, but they aren't a game changer in the scholarship process.

Which is a more prestigous invite, Border Bowl or Lousiville vs State?

That has been the case the last 2 years. We begged for a center last year and finally got one from T on the 3rd practice. Asked this year and got none. Glad to have the X kids though! Believe me when I say they would be out there if we could get them!!!

2 of Central's players were invited, Ace was injured and a WR never showed up...assuming basketball kept him out? T and Central would be the only GLFCA teams that made it to BG. Both coaches were asked to nominate players. One coach did, the other didnt.

Also, keep in mind that traditionally the KY-TN and East-West games were played in the summer...that could have something to do with Trinity not sending kids. That is pure speculation on my part though.

I believe they would be the Kentucky All-Stars. No idea where the Louisville \Metro area players are working out. I think Rosters are in the am paper....

Don't compare them, please. We played a more difficult schedule. I am not saying that as players they are not comparable, but you can't compare statistics......especially in HS.
