From the Franklin-Simpson schedule and seeing who they played and from watching some film on them, I don't think too many teams in the east ie. Ashland, JC, Rowan County, CovCath, LexCath or Boyle would have lost to them either.

What kind of team is FS? Are they primarily a running team? Are they better offensively or defensively? Are they similar to any opponent Highlands has played this year?

I counted the rosters of both teams freshman through senior. Highlands has 119 boys, and Franklin-Simpson has 47.

With only 47 players on the roster , we can assume they have lots of two way starters. I have a feeling it's going to get real ugly in the 3rd and 4th qtrs.

Franklin-Simpson has David Elson on their staff as the defensive coordinator- that could make a difference. He coordinated the 2002 National Championship defense at Western Kentucky and he was a successful HC at WKU before WKU went D1. The Franklin-Simpson HC is obviously doing things correct to hire Elson. There are not many high school defensive coordinators with his talent. However, Highlands is a very difficult task to ask of anyone this season except Trinity. Why does Trinity and Highlands not play in the regular season? That would be an awesome game for the state of Kentucky.

With all of that experience he still may be facing the most talented quarterback that he has ever developed a game plan for. Good news for Highlands is that the D-1 coordinator has high school players to execute his plan.
